Responding to reviews with three or more stars

Hi everyone,

Buyer reviews can play an important role in helping other buyers feel confident about their purchases. We also know that the ability to respond to a review can help sellers clarify anything a buyer may have said (or not said) about a listing.

That’s why we’ve started allowing sellers to respond to all reviews, not just those with three stars or less. 

A few things to keep in mind:

  1. If you receive a review and then respond to it, your buyers will not be able to change their rating without reaching out to Etsy Support first.
  2. Reviews are public. Both current and future customers will be able to see your reviews and responses.
  3. Reviews are not counted as messages, and your response to a review will have no impact on your Star Seller response rate criteria.

There’s no action needed on your part here. We just wanted you to know that the option to leave a response to any review is now available to you.
