The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has issued a strike notice, which means they will be in a legal position to strike as early as Monday, October 22, 2018. If the rotating strike action does occur, the postal service will continue to operate.
How this may affect your orders to, from, or within Canada:
Rotating legal strikes may be isolated to one or two specific locations at a time, affecting those areas for a period of 24 hours. In that situation, Canada Post would continue to accept, process and deliver mail and parcels in all other areas. Once the temporary disruption ends, they would return to normal operations in the affected locations.
What you can do:
You may consider updating your shop policies with information about delivery adjustments and researching alternative commercial shipping carriers such as Chit Chats:
https://chitchats.com If you currently have an order processing or recently shipped and aren’t sure what to do, you may contact Etsy Support for help at

While the strike notice has been issued, negotiations between CUPW and Canada Post are still continuing. If you’d like to receive updates from Canada Post on the dispute, you may sign up for updates on the Canada Post site
