Integrated PayPal and Direct Checkout Deadlines for International Sellers - Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden

Hi all,

Another update for integrated PayPal with Direct Checkout.

On March 22nd, 2016, sellers located in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden will have confirmed payment settings - switching between integrated PayPal and standalone PayPal will no longer be available. You’ll be able to switch to integrated PayPal at any time, but after March 22nd, you won’t be able to return to standalone PayPal.

If you are happy with your payments settings, rest assured there is nothing that you need to do.

If you're a new seller and your bank is located in our confirmed Direct Checkout markets, you'll need to sign up for Direct Checkout to receive your Etsy funds. When using Direct Checkout, Etsy will deposit these funds directly into your bank account.

In February, we announced that sellers located in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden would have until March 22nd, 2016 to confirm their payment settings. We wanted to remind you that this deadline is a couple of weeks away.

Switching to integrated PayPal is available at any time, but after March 22nd, sellers in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden won’t be able to return to standalone PayPal.
