How we’re improving Etsy to bring you more buyers

Hello Etsy sellers, 

Nick Daniel, Etsy’s Chief Product Officer, here. Supporting our mission to Keep Commerce Human means continuously improving our platform to make it easier for shoppers to discover and buy amazing items from small business owners around the world. 

With the holiday shopping season quickly approaching, I wanted to share some recent updates we’ve made to improve the shopping experience on Etsy. 

Inspire shoppers to come back to Etsy through Updates: We’ve made it easier for Etsy shoppers to see the latest info on their favorite shops and items.

Giving buyers discounts and incentives to explore more of Etsy: Etsy-funded discounts and other investments help increase traffic to the site and appeal to new shoppers.

Helping shoppers feel more confident about their purchase: Recently launched features like Video Reviews and programs like Star Seller give shoppers the confidence boost they need. 

Introducing new features like image search to help shoppers find the best of Etsy: We recently launched image search in the Etsy app (iOS only) to help buyers find what they're looking for on Etsy, even when they can’t quite describe it. Shoppers can now upload an image and be matched with visually similar items from Etsy sellers.
