How to Find Help During the Holidays

Hello!

The holidays are an exciting and busy time on Etsy. With this extra activity, we know more questions may come up, and it’s crucial that you find answers quickly. There is a lot of information readily available in our Help Center, the Seller Handbook, and Community spaces. We want to make it easy for you to get the help you need when you need it, so we’ve compiled a list of resources and tips on how and when to use them to help you save time when you need it most.

Etsy Help Center

When you want to find information fast, the Help Center should be your first stop. Just type your question into the search bar to find quick answers and instructions for managing your shop

The Help Center is regularly updated with new and emerging information. You may want to bookmark the Orders & Shipping and Shop Management pages to stay informed of the latest details related to running your business.

If you ever encounter something that seems out of the ordinary or not working as expected, visit How to Resolve a Technical Issue. Here you’ll find troubleshooting steps to help you resolve or report technical issues quickly.

We’ve also compiled a list of articles that address some of the most frequently asked questions during the busy holiday season. Take some time ahead of the rush to read up on topics that feel relevant to you.

Pro tip: You can also use the Help Center to assist your customers with any questions about making a purchase, leaving a review, who is responsible for customs fees, or any other questions they may have during the purchase process. Search the same way you would for seller-related information; just make sure you have “Shopping on Etsy” selected.

Etsy Forums

You probably already know that the Etsy Forums are a great place to connect with other sellers to seek advice and share knowledge! The Forums are also an excellent place to keep up with important Etsy news and verify technical issues.

Follow the Announcements board to stay informed about Etsy news, product launches, and other important announcements.

The Technical Issues board will let you know of any issues in the event they arise. If you think you've discovered a technical issue in your shop, this is the place to share details and get help from other sellers. Any active site-wide issues are pinned to the top of the page.

If you’re looking for business advice, connect with Etsy Staff and experienced sellers in the Etsy Success section. Or, request a shop critique from your peers over in the Shop Critiques section–be sure to read our post on best practices for participating in shop critiques!

Seller Handbook

The Seller Handbook is the perfect one-stop resource for advice, inspiration, and success stories if you’re looking to take your shop to the next level. Here you can take a deep dive into topics like getting found through Etsy Search, product photography, branding, marketing, advertising, and more.

You’ll definitely want to check out The Ultimate Guide to Holiday for a holistic guide to how to have your best holiday season ever while you’re there!

Etsy Support

We always want things to run smoothly in your shop, but there may be scenarios when you need to communicate with Etsy directly this holiday season. Etsy Support is here for you! We offer support to sellers over chat, email, and phone through our support portal.

How to Contact Etsy Support offers more information about connecting with an Etsy Support advisor when you need to.

Here’s a quick checklist of what details to include in your message to Etsy Support for the quickest resolution.

  • Screenshots of any error messages or unexpected behavior you’re seeing.
  • The browser you’re using, whether you use the Sell on Etsy app or Etsy.com, and any actions or workarounds you’ve already tried.
  • Any pertinent details like order numbers or links related to your question.

We hope these resources help you feel confident and more excited than ever for the holiday season. Happy selling!
