Get started in the new Etsy Community
To help you get a jumpstart within the new Etsy Teams and Forums, over the next days, we’ll share tips on some easy actions you can take, along with useful features you can utilize to get the most out of the experience.
Today, we’ll focus on how to navigate the new community spaces.
The Etsy community consists of three main areas:
Community.etsy.com is the central landing page for all of our community spaces, including Teams and Forums. On this page you’ll also find important Etsy announcements and highlighted Forums threads.
When you visit the Etsy Teams page, you’ll find links to each of the Teams you’re on, including a snapshot of which groups have new discussions to check out. You’ll also see additional Teams you can join, as well as any Etsy announcements relevant to Etsy Teams and their members.
When you visit the Etsy Forums page, you’ll find a variety of discussion boards featuring seller advice and questions organized by business topic. You’ll also see Etsy staff announcements and programming, along with a new featured discussion area.
Shop Critiques now have an official home inside their own section of the forums. This section will continue to be a seller-to-seller space that encourages peers to provide support for one another and seek advice for their own shops.
There are no longer areas for Chitchat and Promos. We’ve heard from the community that these provide limited value compared to other forums topics, and our hope is that this change will make it easier to find and engage with discussions directly relevant to running a small business. Off-topic conversation is also prohibited, and we’ve updated our Community Policy to reflect these changes.
