Etsy Updates: 5 things to know for June 2024

Welcome to our monthly roundup of Etsy updates and community highlights that you don’t want to miss …

1. Introducing a "Made for You" page to help buyers get the most out of shopping on Etsy

At Etsy, we’re committed to helping sellers grow their businesses, which is why we’re constantly investing in user-experience improvements on our platform. We know that when buyers are able to easily find items they love, they’re more likely to keep coming back. And that could mean more sales for you!

We recently launched a brand-new page called "Made for You" that’s designed to help shoppers make the most of Etsy. Here are some of the improvements we’re letting buyers know about on that page:

  • Gift Mode: We’re helping buyers think of Etsy first when shopping for the perfect gift (even last minute!) with Gift Mode.
  • Deals Tab: It’s faster than ever for buyers to find savings with the Deals tab. This tab shows available sales and discounts from their favorite shops—all in one place.
  • Etsy’s Picks: We’re making it easier for buyers to find some of our favorite items and reliable shops. The Etsy’s Pick badge helps buyers conveniently  find the best of Etsy.
  • Etsy Purchase Protection: On qualifying orders up to $250, Etsy may refund buyers if they don’t receive their order or it arrives damaged or late—and you’ll keep your earnings.

2. Highlighting deals to shoppers with a “Buy more & save” badge

We invited a small group of sellers to test a new tool for a limited time—the “Buy more & save” badge. For sellers who offer discounts when buyers purchase more than one of the same item, a badge will appear on selected listings, making it easier for deal-seeking buyers to get a discount on their purchase. And, the more buyers purchase, the more they save—a win for both sellers and shoppers! In the future, if we decide to roll out this new tool, you’ll be the first to know!

3. Planning with emergency resources for small business owners

June marks the start of hurricane season in the U.S., and 2024 is expected to be one of the most active years on record.* With natural disasters on the rise, it’s important to have a plan. To help you find and navigate crucial disaster readiness and response information, Etsy has compiled essential resources for sellers in our Seller Handbook. They feature best practices from our natural disaster preparedness and recovery guides, developed in partnership with Nest and the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). You’ll also find info on the Etsy Disaster Relief Fund through the Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+).

4. Resources and funding opportunities for US sellers

Looking for support to take the next step with your business? The Etsy Uplift Fund is here to help. Since 2021, we’ve partnered with nonprofit organizations through the Etsy Uplift Fund to widen pathways to entrepreneurship by supporting access to resources and funding opportunities that can help creative businesses grow. Check out our new and continuing programs here, including the Creative Business Boost Initiative, presented by Hello Alice and the Global Entrepreneurship Network, open now through June 21, 2024.

5. Tools, tests, and tweaks

Every day, our teams work to make shopping on Etsy even more fun and to improve the tools you use to run your business. Check out these recent updates:

  • We’re retiring the old listing form on June 25.

Thanks to seller feedback, the updated listing form has evolved. Save time with tabbed navigation, the Performance tab, Listing preview, and a new estimated-profit calculator. And there’s lots more to come! No action is needed to make the switch. However, it’s a great time to
optimize your listing quality in the updated form using the latest features. Check out the new features in the updated form.

  • A reminder for sellers in Mexico and Türkiye: There’s an update to your Etsy Payments processing fee.

We know fee updates can be challenging, and we're committed to keeping our seller community informed and supported when we make changes. We periodically review our fees and occasionally make adjustments based on external factors and strategic investments for sellers. In order to continue to support sellers in Mexico and Türkiye, we’re updating the Etsy Payments processing fixed fee for sellers located in those markets. • We’ve partnered with ShipEntegra to make shipping from Türkiye faster and more reliable.

We’re excited to announce our partnership with one of the most popular shipping services used by sellers in Türkiye—ShipEntegra! Starting June 3, ShipEntegra will be the only shipping provider available through Etsy to sellers in Türkiye. If you’re currently using another shipping service, don’t fret. You’ll be able to continue using your preferred provider. Get all of the details about this change

We’ll see you next month with a new batch of Etsy Updates. Stay close to the Etsy Community on Instagram and here in the Forums to join the conversation and get the latest updates. As always, we’ll share news you need to know and other updates in the Announcements section of the Forums and in the Seller Handbook.
