News from Mattel

2 hours ago I received the message from Debbie Roney.
She wrote follow words
"Hi, my name is Debbie. I have GrizzlyCreek and sell a diverse shop of items. Among them are doll clothes for the American Girl Doll and similar ones and Barbie and similar ones. Recently Mattel's representatives legal department contacted me over infringement of saying and showing "Barbie". Apparently it's a no no. I woke up to find about 2/3rds of my shop deactivated. Not a nice way to start the day. They assure me that the other almost 45,000 items will be notified shortly.

Please notify you team members so they will not get such a rude awaking first thing in the morning.

I am now listing my clothes by doll size. Tags words that come up thru Etsy are few without saying the doll's name. For pictures I just don't show the face.

Take care,
Debbie"

So I advise to all: Check in your listings now!

Best regards.
Yours truly Alla.

Re: News from Mattel

This is a discussion that continues to go around. The names you mention are Trademarks and you cannot use them without permission from the trademark owners. Any names used such as the above and makes e.g. Disney or ranges e.g. Cabbage Patch Kids can, and should only, be used for articles that are genuinely such.
