Feeling really unmotivated...

Hi, I'm megan from bowtistic dreams. Lately I've felt very unmotivated to make my hair bows or try to think up new ideas. I haven't been able to get people to give feedback after they get their bows and I can't find any new places to advertise.

It's really rough having hit this spot where I just can't bring myself to move forward. I know I really need to, I know I want to, but I feel so discouraged so much right now. It's hard when you can't get any support or positive feedback from your customers or potential customers.

I used to get several inquiries daily but they never turned up anything, ever. So that was one factor. Then I slowly ran out of places to advertise my items and now I'm literally at a loss. I have a tumblr AND blog AND facebook AND twitter but I get no action from those. NONE. I tried to do giveaways and reviews but I was just loosing more money then I could even make. I was just constantly loosing money so I had to really stop.

I don't have any other income other then this right now for funding. My fiance and his mother were supporting me for a while but now they're both tight on money so I can't ask for it anymore for my business. I really need to figure out how to draw in more customers.

Do I need better pictures? more items? Are my items just no good? I really don't know what to do anymore...

Re: Feeling really unmotivated...

Hi Megan usually I ask people not to start new threads it's one of the rules in this team, but I read what you wrote and looked at your shop, your shop policies look great and your pictures are great it looks like your using natural lighting which is what I usually recommend doing. As for getting people to leave feedback it's really hard usually I send a thank you note for there purchase and tell them to please when they get the time to leave feedback on there items other then that it's just up to them :/
As for selling your items have you thought about doing consignment outside of Etsy? Looking a local business shops could help you make some money and help your business grow.
I know how your feeling though, it's been very slow in my shop I have been thinking of making new items cause my bows haven't been selling as much as I would like them too. Let me know if any of this helps :)
