As a start, please leave a reply and tell us how do you promote your art on social media? Do you integrate your social media accounts with Etsy?

I have just started promoting my Etsy account both on my instagram feed and stories. Being fairly new on Etsy is exciting! and for now I could share some tips to make more followers on Instagram such as promoting your posts, hashtag tricks! , updating your stories, sharing links etc!

Thanks y'all for accepting the invite! I strongly believe that if we share our experiences, we can truly help each other to grow the business . Being active in teams seems to be the first step to take. Another experience I have just discovered regarding promoting your art work/etsy shop on social media (like instagram) is IG TV. I am fairly new on it but what I do is when I upload an art video, I upload it with etsy hashtags and I also create the headline such as "ETSY Artist ...etc" it seems to be another way to do little bit store promotion. Please share your opinion and experience! Cheers!

Hi ! @TeddyBiscuit I would recommend you to download mobile Etsy Seller Application
Then on your desktop please follow steps;
1 -Shop manager
2-Marketing
3-Social Media
4-Click on Listing\item that you would like to share on your social media account
5-Insert the caption and hashtags
Once you are done it will not let you directly share the post on your desktop computer but it will guide you through mobile Etsy Seller app
After these you will see a notification on your mobile app saying your post is ready to share

I hope it works (that is how I was able share my posts on IG from Etsy lately)

I use instagram (http://www.instagram.com/apuddleofpaint) but I've been targetting it at people that are already interested, kind of a "behind the scenes" for them to keep engagement. I think it would be better to use it to go in the other direction - attract people that aren't aware of me yet - but I need to work out how best to do this. My problem is that there are a lot of poured paintings on Instagram and I haven't really sorted out how to distinguish myself.

Thanks for sharing your experience as well!

Instagram has different algorithm than Etsy. According to my experience as much as you interact with other accounts (commenting/ following them/mentioning official art accounts in your stories and feed) tagging art accounts etc makes you appear more on others newsfeed

When I create a story while I am painting I always try to use hashtags such as #worldofartists #etsy #etsyshop #artspotlight #abstractart etc/ Because not only your followers view them but also people who follow those hashtags can reach to your account!
