Team captain Chris asked me to bring back the SEO and tagging help thread. I'm bringing it back with a twist! Here's how this works:

--Every week, I'll pick two shops wanting help with their SEO or tags and feature them in this thread.
--Find an item from each featured shop, post it on the thread, fave it, and suggest tag or title words the shop owner can use to help people find the item.
--Feel free to promote the items if you want!
--Be fair and polite. Don't be mean.
--I'll choose two participants from the thread to be the featured shops for the following week. (Post in the thread or send me a convo if you want to participate but don't want to be featured.)

thesaurus.com can give you synonyms for common words

Google Adwords has a keyword search tool that compares your keywords to popular words searched on Google. The site is google.adwords.com and you need a Google account to sign up. The basic keyword tool is free.

General tips:

--Use all 13 tags. Use thesaurus.com or Google Adwords to get all 13.
--Use two- and three-word tags if possible. Stumped for ideas? Add words describing color, materials, size, etc. to make longer tags.
--Think about the reasons why people might purchase your items. Would your items make good gifts or holiday/birthday presents? Are they good ideas for wedding gifts, housewarming gifts, or office gift exchanges?
--Make sure important words from your listing title are in your tags and vice versa. This increases your visibility in Etsy searches.
--Remember to look at your shop stats and the search words people used to find your items. If you don't have their search words as your item tags, add them.

On this item i noticed all the tags were only 1 word tags. I would suggest combining those when possible. instead of using children and then toy, combine them :kids toy" or "child's toy" since people are more likely to type in child's toy than child when searching, plus it gives you another open tag slot. possibly could even use "farm toy". Also, Fisher Price is the name of a company so I would use it as 1 tag, instead of 2.

On this one I noticed the word flower is never used in the tags, but "little girl" is used twice. Try "childs hair clip" and maybe instead of using exact ages for tags, try "first easter" or something along those lines.
