Just want to draw your attention to something I saw on another thread today. Apparently, someone or more than one person is taking photos, descriptions and tags from people on Etsy and posting them on Wanelo. You might want to take a look and see if this is happening to your items. No one is sure if they are selling the item and not shipping it, or if they are making items that look similar. Just giving everyone a head's up.

I'm not sure how to report this, but if this is happening to multiple Etsians, Etsy should be made aware of it. Several people said they had found their photos and descriptions on Wanelo, so it seems it's not an isolated incident.

If you have had any experiences that others on the team should know about, please post them here so we can discuss the best way to take care of it.

Welcome Sara! You did the right thing arriving here! They're a really great bunch here, know what they're talking about and are always ready to help. I've been here for about 3 years now, may be 4, and I'm always learning something new - as well as making lots of good friends as well.

Dropping in early, because I want to get ahead of myself - for once. Don't know how long it will last, but we'll see. The four puppet bodies are now all sewn: it's just a matter of tidying up the "whispy bits" (ends of machined seams) and putting the linings and bodies together, before putting the finishing touches to them and send them off, together with the hands I made earlier in the week.

Still haven't heard if the first batch reached Tulsa safely! It's now nearly 4 weeks, and I'm seriously thinking of sending this second batch ordinary international air mail to see if it gets to the buyer any quicker. It may be that waiting for a signature is the thing that is holding matters up. Tulsa is a big place, and the address seems to indicate to me ( a complete foreigner to US address systems, admittedly) that they could be living on the outskirts and only come in once a week to pick up their mail. May be wrong, but will just have to see how I can improve on the delivery system.

Morning everyone. trying to be ore active in the group. Like many of us i wear many hats. i'm trying to get fit and healthy (taking care of me finally) being creative and crocheting. I also homeschool a middle school and high schooler and trust me they keep me busy! lol.

Sara and Michelle, welcome to the team! You'll find we're a helpful bunch, so if you have questions, you'll find the answers here.

Mary, I don't think I've ever had anyone copy my photos or descriptions, knock on wood. But I haven't been to Wanelo, so I'll have to check them out.

I've been working on swapping out photos from my listings. Right now, I have 3 pictures showing the three types of monograms I offer. I combined all three monograms onto one tote. The second picture shows an open tote bag stuffed with clothes and one of my beading projects. I'm going to include a photo of my sister carrying a tote over her shoulder, but Pam has been feeling poorly, both physically and emotionionally. When she feels better, I'll take the third photo.

I put an extra line in my descriptions saying what the bag is stuffed with, since it's a little hard to see anything below my craft project. The bag holds a bath towel, a pair of leggings, a light weight fleece jacket, and the beaded project. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Alanna, the new photos look great! Like you said, it's still hard to quite know the size of tote, but listing what you could fit in along with the dimension is you all can do really. Also, I think a photo of your sister carrying one should further help clarify the size. But I like the new photos, well done.

I have no idea how someone could be stealing listings and putting them on Wanelo. Wanelo is like Pinterest. you really cannot sell anything right from Wanelo, but rather your share and store links on there. Every item in my shop is on Wanelo and many many of them have been saved and resaved multiple times so they are everywhere on Wanelo but they all link to my Etsy store. And I should add that I get many sales a month from Wanelo, it is my best promotional tool.

We are off work today and lots of fun is planned today. I still hope that I can make a list a couple of new items today but we shall see. Happy Thursday all!

Hi, everyone.
Apparently that Wanelo thing with pics has been going on for quite a while, also on other sites.
Views have gone way down, as have sales for me. Something has changed. One thing is that the search here is a hot mess. It seems to be getting worse in that area. Searching for anything vintage, if you reload a page, or just try to see the next page, the search switches out of vintage. There was a thread in Bugs about it yesterday.
Sometime recently someone posted here I think about a paid service that advertises our stuff? I can't find the link I saved. I think the person said they were paying $25 a week? Did anyone else save the link? If so, please post again?

Quick stopping in today while the little one doesn't need anything. Much colder today than it has been the last couple of days. Starting to feel more like winter unfortunately.

I don't have a Wanelo account and know nothing about it so I don't really have anything to add. I will pass the info along to other teams though. It is really terrible that people would try and steal our stuff. It probably takes just as much time to steal peoples listings as it would to make their own!

I'm busy today with all kinds of little projects. Got two new pairs of earrings listed and renewed 8 expired listings. Made a new batch of sourdough starter. I'm hoping to do some outdoor work this afternoon. We shall see if I get there!

Just stopping by on my work break Welcome new members!
I had a question about fotofuze for anyone that uses it.
I can't seem to change pictures in listing that will show up in fotofuz,I can change on etsy...but pulls up in fotofuz with same old picture.
I need to update several photo's ...The only way I could see to do that is create a brand new listing for each one~That could become costly to do~ Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nancy, I hope someone can help you. I have never used Fotofuze. I use infranview and Fotoflexer for all of my photos, then save and upload them directly to my listing.

Thanks Mary.I'm afraid to add any more programs to my computer(until I get a new one..I have had this one since early 2000 and a few bits of memory installed,but have a hard time running programs.
I will keep working at it. I may just have to make new listings a little at a time.

I just up load the pictures directly to fotofuze and and download them back down after editing, then upload them to etsy.

Alanna your pictures look good. If I remember when I have time, I can take a picture of the one we have here on my mannequin and with yarn in it.

Nancy, I use Fotofuse, but I am not sure I understand your question. Are you fusing pictures in Fotofuse and then Updating Images only so you they show up fused on Etsy? If you want to convo me, feel free!
