Good Wednesday morning, Team!

It's a hot, cloudy morning here in Maryland. We're supposed to be getting thunderstorms later on today. I hope that will get rid of the humidity.

Donna was the winner of Monday's four statements game. Here are her new statements:

1. I hate foggy days
2. I like to jog
3. I love long car rides
4. I love art museums

There you are; go for it!

On a more serious note, Pam saw her neurologist the other day, who wants her to see a movement disorder specialist up at the University of Maryland hospital in Baltimore, but she can't get in until October 6th. Her primary care doctor is worried that Pam has MS or Parkinson's, and that potential diagnosis has Pam terrified. It would explain the short-term memory problems and her daily diarrhea. She's really worried about this. Today she'll get some blood drawn, some special tests her neurologist recommended. We shall see. If it's true, we will need to make some major lifestyle changes, like moving to a ground-level apartment (we're one flight of stairs down, in a basement apartment. Our current apartment complex doesn't have three bedrooms in a ground-level apartment, so we would have to move to a different apartment complex. And there would have to be other changes. Pam is trying not to think catastrophically, but it is very hard with that possibility hanging over her head.

That's all the news from here today. Have a great day, everybody!

Alanna and Pam: it's always been my experience that it's so much better to confront potential problems like this, rather than to be ostrich-like and think it's not going to happen. It's certainly not a pleasant prospect to have to be considering - but what ever happens, if it's to be, it will be. Will be praying extra hard for both of you - because either way, it's going to be a dfificult few weeks. It may also help both of you to expect the worst - and do reconnaissance on potential new premises, without any commitments - because it may well be better for you both to move BEFORE circumstances dictate the move as a MUST. It's not a good idea, with both your health issues, to have to do these things in a rush. Keep us all posted.

Booked my 'flu jab today - it's not until October 10th which is the first available clinic I can attend. Usually, in the past, I've either been at the doctors' surgery for some other ailment and the doctor has given it me - so that I DON'T have to queue up for a jab, or they doctor has come to the complex (when I was living at The Hospital of St. John) and as many of his patients lived there too, we had a private clinic all to ourselves. It's one of the things one has to put up with when one changes one's living quarters! Not all the services one is used to are available in the new one - although it's nice to be so close to Clare and Alan, and Elliot.

The latter is now almost able to stand without holding on to parents for dear life - not bad progress in 3 weeks, is it? Have yet to see him again, but hopefully, we'll manage it soon. Clare is certainly finding having E around is helping her lose weight too - 5 lbs in the last three weeks, it going some for her! She has so much more to think about now than her unhealthy relationship with food!!

I'll try No. 3 for Donna's statements today. That she likes to jog.

Alanna, praying for you and Pam as you face this battle. Seems you are having a rough year.

Tell Pam that they thought I was heading toward Parkinsons but it isn't. Seems to be stress. I do have PTSD and could be. There is a lot of stress in my life and always has been. Tell her not to put the cart before the horse. Don't go there until she finds out a definite answer. I will pray that it is neither Parkinsons or MS. That was another potential one for me. I just told that old devil to get lost.

At one time, when he was in grade 3, they said Brandon possibly had leukemia because his spleen was enlarged. I emailed all my prayer warriors and laid hands on him when he was sleeping and asked God for healing. I know you are Wiccan and respect that, but possibly you can do whatever is the equivalent in your religion.
