Good morning, everyone.

Brandon and I didn't get to go for our appt. because it was slippery out and snowing. I have trouble seeing in this fine snow, so decided to play it safe and changed the appt. We had snow until 4pm and then a fine misty rain.

I now that many regions of Canada and the US are getting storms. Unless you absolutely have to go out, stay in, stay warm and be safe.

Today I'd like us to chat about the new listing manager. Do we like it? How many are still using the old one. I am one. I detest the new one, but am going to have to get used to it sooner or later.

As always, we can chat about anything you'd like. We are here to promote and support every member of the AAA Team.

There is some awkwardness with the new manager. I do not like how when its done it does not take me to the listing, but back to the manager, and if you click it in this version of the manager it only opens it in edit form when you are renewing. You do have the option of going to a new listing after you finish it.

It is nice for sorting and such, but the awkwardness of checking the listing when I am finished editing it is not good for me.

Rachel, you can always go back to the Classic Listing Manager for now. in the top left corner, there is a link. Click it and it will give you the option. They will ask you to do a survey when you revert. I highly recommend filling it out and telling them why.

Sheesh!!! Some people's kids. A woman asked me for a discount on my reverse glass pictures, which I accepted and then she has the nerve to turn around and ask for a discount on shipping. Nope!!! I'm not taking any more hits on shipping, so if she doesn't want them, I will certainly take the reserve off. Can't imagine the nerve.

i finally figured out how to print a shipping label. Much cheaper than going to the Post Office. Canada Post shipping is atrocious.

Good morning team!

Another mixed day here, I'm really hoping that the weather will hold a bit after lunch as I want to go beach combing (can't this morning as it's high tide), I'm really hoping that the recent storms and high winds have brought ashore some nice driftwood.

Some people really have some nerve Mary. It's ok to try and see if you can get a better price on the item in my opinion (I'm not saying that I agree with it as I would never ask myself, but I suppose that's how it goes these days), but asking for a discount on shipping when they are only buying one item... no way. I'm glad that you can get better prices with Etsy Shipping Labels. We don't have those in the UK, but to be honest I doubt very much that I would use them, simple reason being that I prefer to support my small rural post office. The ladies there are wonderful (and the one guy!), always very friendly, helpful and chatty. In rural communities/small towns it's a matter of use it or lose it, and as luckily Royal Mail has quite competitive prices compared to say US or Canada, I'm quite happy to carry on this way.

For what I use it, I suppose that I'm quite happy with the new listing manager. I guess I got used to it, and it lets me do whatever I need doing. I can see what you are saying though Rachel, and I wished that there was a button that will take you straight back to your shop, instead of having to click on the menu above Your Shop and then View Shop.

Views have improved a bit for me and so have sales, 5 since the beginning of the month, hopefully it'll carry on this way (I know, I've just jinxed myself now lol!)

Good morning, team!

Mary, I'm sorry that you and Brandon had to change your appointment. But I understand completely your not wanting to drive in that kind of weather.

We are under a winter storm warning tonight, with snow expected to fall starting in the wee hours Thursday morning. One prediction says to expect 3-5 inches. Another says 5-10 inches. We're not near the mountains (that's the Appalachians (?) for you geography buffs), but we are north of Washington DC, so I'm figuring we'll get around five inches. I want this winter to end!

I finally finished my latest round of embroidery. I figure I'm not going anywhere tomorrow, so it'll be a good day for taking photos, then editing and listing them. I've still got 25 more embroideries to go. I've got designs for 13 ancient Greek gods and goddesses, six Hindu deities, and six floral crosses.

I'm starting to assemble everything I need for working on towels. I have to use a different type of stabilizer than what I use on the totes. I also need a top stabilizer that prevents the nap of the towel from getting caught in the embroidery foot. I also need a different type of needle than what I use for the totes. In terms of the listing manager, I've liked it so far. I miss having the teams and forum links at the bottom of the listing manager. But I haven't done any listing yet under the new system. I understand what you're saying, Rachel. I'll probably feel the same way when I list tomorrow.

Sorry to leave that 4th paragraph hanging. The keyboard on my Kindle went away, and I had to reboot. What I was saying was that all this paraphenalia is costing a bit more than just buying the towels.

Candi, congratulations on 700 sales! I haven't had any sales since January. The cricketts in my shop have all died, and the tumbleweeds have moved in. Ah, well.

Good Morning Everyone,

Just another day in paradise! We have plans for lunch with friends at Lattitudes a very upscale restaurant on a key which requires a 10 minute boat ride. They have a dress code! Business casual means I have to wear long pants and a shirt instead of shorts and t-shirt or tank top. Boy, life it tough sometimes. Ha Ha.

Overall I like the new Listings Manager. My favorite new capability is the bulk editing capabilities. I was able to review and edit all my items for the new Categories in about a half hour. The ability to share to Twitter, Pinterest and FB from the Listings Manager immediately after publishing is also nice. I'm not always good at accepting change but this one has not been difficult for me.

No new listing today; the traveling shop has not reopened on our new site as space is limited and we've been too active with our social life.

Off to do more Twitter Tweets and Retweets.

We are back in the deep freeze with promises of a warm up on Friday. Definitely hoping they are right this time. Good luck with the storm Alanna. Hopefully you will get the same warm weather they are promising us soon!

I need to finish up an order from Sunday and then get started on some new items. It has been a while since I've created. I haven't been feeling very motivated to do anything lately. I did get seeds stared yesterday for our garden... if Spring ever shows up lol

I'm really indifferent about the new listing manager. It seems to have some positive changes but also some inconveniences. As far as Etsy changes go it is 1 of the better ones in my opinion. I do like how they let sells choose when they want to switch to it. I think they should do that with everything.

Glen, enjoy your lunch plans. Compared to Iowa right now it sounds absolutely amazing!!

Good morning all.

I rather like the new listing manager. I find that I can list items quicker with it. What with uploading five pictures at once and the not having to toggle between two pages. I also like the bulk and quick editing features. But the sales stats are perhaps my favorite feature. I also like that I can filter and search my sold out listings, it's helpful when I am doing custom orders with customers. All in all, I am quite content with the changes there.

Am getting used to the new Listing Manager and found it very much easier and quicker to list my new Teddy Bear yesterday. Also the categories made a lot more sense too - although I'd like more choices in animals. Other than Teddy Bears, and the other Bears, everything else comes under Stuffed Animals and Plushies. And although Toys don't have quite as many folks selling as, say, Jewellery does, there are still sufficient of us to make me feel some more animal choices might be helpful! Am sticking on the new version, although I have switched back once or twice, when I was feeling my way. Each time I did though, I got a mini-survey as to why I did it!! So, am keeping my powder dry ..... in case.

Sewing got held up a bit last night, as my attempt at cutting corners didn't work, and I had to undo a lot and start out again on the waistcoat of one of the Foxes. Am hoping to do a bit of catching up this evening, as there are a couple of good programmes on the main TV stations, although last night I found some very interesting ones on an educational channel, with information that I had not previously had access to. Makes some of the dull bits of sewing go along a lot faster.

You did the right thing Mary postponing the appointment. The weather is so changeable at the moment. We've got lovely sunshine pouring in my window at the moment, but the windy is bitter still. It's supposed to be warming up tomorrow. Will believe it when it happens.

The new lister is terrible for managing featured listings, at least for me. And also for sections, I find it troublesome. It's ok for some things.
It seems the changes have brought my shop largely to a standstill. I do not care for that.

The new listings manager is ok. I like a lot of the features to it although I am still getting used to all the things it has. I have noticed when working in draft mode that sometimes when I go back out to the listings manager, it shows all my listings gone and I have to refresh the page. Like betterwyth though, since the changes have taken place, I am finding my shop to be at a complete standstill too and it is frustrating. I am working to change that though with new listings coming soon.

How could they have a loss if they took in over 195 million. Doesn't sound right to me, but am not a financial genius either. I look after my own budget, which can be difficult at times. Too many expenses, not enough income.

Could they be making less $ since allowing bulk junk and taking sales views from handmade? If you don't craft,and see something similar(or copied) dirt cheep ...well...those sales bring less revenue in to Etsy. As the saying go Don't bite the hand that feeds you ~ and know what side your bread is buttered on.
