Good morning!!! It is frigidly cold here today, but it supposed to get up to -15 C or 5 F. That will be warm compared to Sunday. I just used a converter to find out how cold it was yesterday and it was -25.6F, or minus 37C. Coldest day of the winter so far. This Feb. is one of the coldest in years. I hope it soon warms up. I'm tired of being cold.

Today is RAK Day (Random Act of Kindness) Please do something special for a team mate. You can fave their shop pages, send them a message to inspire or support them or just to say hi. You could also make a treasury, buy something from their shop that you've been wanting, or anything Random. You may tell us about it or keep in anonymous.

Tomorrow we are going to talk about tags. We have a lot of newbies on the team and it will help them out. Tagging can be very intimidating when you first start selling online and we will get to that on Tuesday.

Good morning Mary and all!

Now, that sounds like EXTREME cold Mary, poor you! I hope it warms up quickly, Spring can't be that far away, right?

Day off today, I know that I've only be opened for 2 days but there is no way that I'll work for 9 consecutive days LOL! It was another decent day yesterday, dry clear weather with temperatures above 0 do help to keep people circulating around the village. Now the challenge will be to find the right stuff to fill the 4 available shelves for the season (they are filled with end of lines things at the moment, nobody wants to see empty shelves in a shop!). There are several things that I like from my suppliers, it's just a matter of making the right choices now (ahhh, wouldn't it be lovely, lots of space and unlimited budget LOL).

My computer is still playing up when I switch it on, but I'm still able to use it. This morning I didn't get that message again, but it still took a good 15 minutes to come on. Oh well, I've backed up the most important files, and I'll back everything else up later on.

Better, I think I read that thread that your referred to in yesterday's chat, some people are just unbelievable!

Off to do some RAKs now, a bit of lunch and then back to work.

It's another beautiful day in paradise (Key West, FL for those who don't know already) The temp. is 63 F heading to 73 for a high.

Val - good luck with your B&M shop. Reminds me of the twelve years I spent in retail; I enjoyed working with customers and much of the rest of the jobs as well but do not miss the hours and work schedules.

Sorry I didn't drop in yesterday - but another Team I'm on decided to kick off their Treasury Challenge for St. Patrick's Day and I opened up the computer to 16 that needed attention!

So, no blog either - because I haven't really got anything to say there at the moment: need to finish the Hairy Teddy Bears first! Hope to make some inroads there this afternoon when I join the "Busy Bee" knit-and-natter session here in the Residents' Room. I rarely knit, but sewing is acceptable!

But did manage, before the St. Paddy's Day Challenge kicked off, to prepare this Treasury for part of my RAK's for today.

Dear me, Mary - don't envy you that cold temperature! Reminds me of Alberta to much. lthough don't get me wrong: I've still many good friends there: and we still keep in touch at Christmas time, especially. Just couldn't stand the climate!

Val - hope you enjoy your day off. Pity you're not closer, or I might have explored putting some Cuddlies on part of your shelf space! Actually will explore the benefits (or downsides) nearer home first before going ahead with any such negotiations!! But would it be a possibility down the road, I wonder?

Good morning everyone -

Sorry I have not been around. We got hit with a blizzard on Valentine's Day and I spend yesterday getting back out again and today it is bitter cold again. I am very ready for winter to be over.

I did manage to design some new creations (signs) which I will be incorporating into my shop as soon as time allows. I am very excited to be rolling these out and hope they will do well as my shop has gone quiet again and I am doing all I can to fix that and get sales moving again.

long time no see, I have been going through some things off etsy so I haven't had the energy to be so social. All fine now tho thankfully! :) I hope you all have had a great December and January!

Mary, that cold isn't fun!! It's not fun when your nose freezes when you go outside! We have had a mediocre winter in Sweden. We got some snow then it melted then some more snow and that melted. now we have some snow that is about to melt, the snow is more like ice now. It is a couple of plus degrees during the day so it melts then it freezes during the night when it's gets under zero. last week was horrible. It was impossible to walk outside on the sidewalks.

This will be my first RAK in some months so lots of love will fly around today! <3

Here is a quick update - I am still sick - Emily has it now - My fiance and I split after 12+ years together with no chance of working it out - MRI is finally scheduled for the end of March to see if I have a brain tumor - Other than than these little annoyances, I am fine. I just need a few more days and I will be 100%.

Mary, those temperatures are inhuman! In Philadelphia, we have had zero degrees F with wind chills of -15 degrees F. Last February was really cold as well. I keep telling myself that March is around the corner.

Caroline, sorry to hear you have been having a difficult time. Hope things continue to improve.

Charity, sounds like things have been really rough with you lately. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Mary, my mother used to say, when it got realy cold, that Canada had left her back door open. That's certainly true today, lol. We have sub-zero temperatures today, and they're calling for snow this evening into tomorrow. We could get anywhere from 5 to 10 inches, which will probably paralyze this area. That's fine, as long as the power doesn't go out. We have an advantage here in Columbia. It is a planned community, and one of the plans was to put all the power lines in the ground, out of sight. Which means no possibilty for downed power lines.

Got my laptop back Saturday evening, and have been updating all my photos. Once that's done, it's back to embroidering. I have 39 designs waiting to be done. My online embroiery store just had a sale, and I was able to get 14 His and Hers designs that I will use on my towels eventually. I love stocking up on designs when they have a sale. The latest ones only cost me $14, whereas regularly they would have cost more than $90!

Thanks for all the comments on our cold weather. It's only -16 C today. Warm compared to yesterday and overnight. Yes, yesterday the boots crunched in the snow and your nose stuck together when you went outside. Very hard on hubby, who has a lung problem. I can remember it being colder than this but not for many, many years. Usually about -22 C is as cold as we get in a winter.

Today, Dakota, our dog, got away and it took an hour to track him down and get him into the car. He actually crossed several busy streets and went right downtown. I thought he would freeze, but he didn't seem cold at all when we got him home. Probably because he was trotting along the entire time. He is in the dog house figuratively. He knows it too. He's lying in the bathroom on the mat by the tub, sleeping.

Glen: as a matter of interest - do you find that posting your items almost as soon as they are ordered, results in more or less reviews? I find the whole thing a complete and utter mystery. Etsy seems to operate in a world of their own in this area!

Glad to hear you've got your computer back, Alanna. Mine resolutely refused to publish my blog post today - so, unless I can get it to oblige in the morning - when I've got to wait in for workmen to re-do my pantry and bathroom floors - it's back to the "techy-guyz" again. I do get so exasperated by these hiccups.

Off to bed now. Well past my time, but just wanted to drop by to see what's happened today. Glad I did.

Isobel - if you mean by "posting" get them shipped (we may have a language barrier) I really do not know if that helps with reviews or not. For me, shipping promptly is part of customer service which I strive to do at a high level. I only get reviews on about 25% of my sales even though I offer a 10% Coupon discount for completing one. There is no magic formula for getting reviews that I have found.
