Jacqueline ~ Thanks! I don't know what I did right with that one but I can't seem to get the phone cases to come out right. And everything I read says white back grounds are what you should use but I like the blurry background on that photo.

I did read the Critique Thread and as we make the cases again we are going to take new photos and see how we do! Fingers crossed! lol

Afternoon all!! Im looking to pick all of your brains, for the ways marketing that you find MOST beneficial to your shop Ive tried the Fb ads, and Etsy promoting (paid about $40-$60/wkly) to get my shop going more...... I also send coupons with orders and via email , etc. but I do not feel 151 sales, is a lot since I made my first sale back in Oct. Thoughts???

151 sales on Etsy is over the top. I'm not sure what your expectations are if that isnt good enough? Most struggle up to 6 months to get their first! I guess the best marketing ive found is just touch as many people on etsy as you can,chatting,favoriting,team participation etc.

Thanks Chris...butI guess I thought I wasnt doing well enough! I started my shop as a hobby, thinking it would not take off, then one month of being open ...BOOM!!!! but I i was hoping for more.. :) I guess I compare my shop to others alike it and see how they have 500 sales in about 2 years etc.... I am doing exactly what you mentioned, and I use Etsy tools to marketing, which do help... but was curious what else others do to succeed :)

I hope everyone is having a good day, some wonderful new items being posted today!

I am really starting to feel better, stronger which is exciting. Today I am completing the processing of the church sale score, I have logged and I am now working on cleaning everything with hopes of photographing tomorrow.

I get to go back to my "day job" next week which is exciting....I miss my team! I am however trying to figure out how I will make sure I do not let my etsy fall by the wayside.

My views hit over 400 this week which is a huge milestone for me, I am very excited. I am still only a handful of sales way from 300 which would be exciting! Of course, if you average that out, it is only about 100 sales a year, but I will take it!

Wow I'd love to have 151 sales! I hit 36 today in 5 months, and everyone says I'm doing really well. (Not well for ME, but well for Etsy)

Jenn: White is not the only best background for picture. The best one is the less busy more neutral one that makes the object you got pop-up. Most of the time, yes it is white! But not always!

I found a frame for my last art piece. I'll need to bump the price because that's''a very high quality frame!

Etsy Promos never really did much for me either. Keep in mind more then 90% of businesses take 5 years or greater to catch their stride. Be patient it will come, you are waaaaaay ahead of most at this point in their etsy life

Eejee- #1 Does framed art sell better? This would be a marketing thing to research! Honestly I have no idea if framed art sells better then non-framed art but I do know if I was buying a larger piece, I'd rather it come with a frame (as they can get expensive) and if it's a smaller piece then unframed (because then I can find a frame that matches my decor without spending a ton.)


#2 What's'the digital new feature thingy? The new digital download feature is so people can instantly download digital content (such as photography templates, printable party sets, etc.) that are transferred through a computer file.

Congrats to all who made sales.

Another team I belong to has a neat little game called The Treasury Game. Basically there are 17 spots for team members to sign up in. Once the 17 spots are taken, each of the 17 creates a treasury using items from the other 16's shops. That way you create 1 treasury and are featured in 16.

This time there were only 13 of us so we got to fill the remaining 4 spots with anyone we chose - I chose members of this team. I don't know if this is the appropriate place to post the link, if not my apologies.

Wow, lots of chatter today.
I'm just popping in. Got a load of clean laundry next to me, and a messy kitchen to clean. How on earth does this house get so messy? I have more respect for my mother every day.
