Good morning team! Lets start the week with our usual round of RAK, Random Act of Kindness :) . Show some love to a team mate or 10, heart bomb their shop, make a treasury, send a convo, make a little purchase, anything you can think of.

I'll do some RAk throughout the day, the four legged friend woke me up at 6.15 for a change but as it's my day off I'll try and go back to sleep again for an hour of two. Why do I have a dog?? LOL.

I'm happy today, as yesterday evening I sold one of my most expensive bracelets, and this time it goes to the UK ! This is the first time I sell something out of the US.

Yes, up at this ungodly hour grrr...
I just bought some lip balm from a team member and can't wait to get it. My lips are so dry and my lip balm is almost out. Yay for me.
Actually was trying to find a shop (team member) that sells natural shampoos but none were on the team reference thread. I know that not everyone posts there but do any of you know of a fairly easy way to search? I need a new source for our shampoo as my current source (local) is "retiring."
On the shop front, I made it to 40 listings for the first time! I know that is so little for so many of you, but that's a lot for me lol. I am going to work some more on photos and tags today.

Good morning, it's funny for me to say that I'm glad the weekend is over, but those are the days that I work, so I'm glad it's Monday!

I also have a dog that wants my constant attention, but I wouldn't have it any other way. She's a rescue dog that my husband and I picked up from a kill shelter and she's been the greatest!

I need to get some listings done today along with trying to clean the house, yuck! Have a great day everyone!

I've only had about 4 hours sleep. Just kept tossing and turning all night.

Did four totes yesterday. They were simple designs that went quickly. Hope to do two more today. Also, yesterday I bought 9 Halloween designs and 15 Christmas ones. Stocking up with a sale.

Good morning everyone:

Candi, congratulations on the listings!

I will work on my RAK throughout the day. Work has gotten very busy lately. Did manage to work on new listings over the weekend and will be shipping out two orders by Wednesday this week. (one a hat and coat rack gift set and the other is a custom order.)

My stats yesterday went crazy. I checked them and it said I had 645 views from all kinds of different places. Some of them I never imagined would even be there. Plus, my stats graph went flatlined except for the unusual spike yesterday. It all worked fine until I cleared my cookies and filled out the review for the test Etsy is trying out. So, really do not know what is going on or if it is a bug. Today, views are back to normal again.

Lisa - good luck getting new listings published. Sometimes I find it helpful to do some work for the Etsy shop then housework and then back to the shop, etc.

John - congrats on the sales!

Yesterday's new item did very well on views and faves; thanks to all who helped provide support.

Two weeks from today we leave on our trip up the AlCan Hwy to Alaska. This has been on my bucket list for a long time so I am excited to get going.

I am seeking some feedback on the best way to approach this in the shop. My plan is to keep the shop open rather than put it on vacation since we will be on the road until the first week of September. There will probably be stretches of time where internet access will be non-existent. This may result in delays in responding to orders, convos or emails which I plan to address in my Shop Announcement and Shipping Policies. Do you think this is workable? Any suggestions would be appreciated as well.

Hello everyone!!

I made it to 10 sales!! I got my 10th sale yesterday and I just shipped it, I'm so happy that I don't even care that it's raining cats and dogs outside!! I never thought this when opening my shop in late February. Thank you so much everyone in this team for being such lovely and helpful people! <3

I finally got my fist fishes for this year! Me and my family was out fishing baltic herring on Saturday and we got a lot to say the least (8kg / 17.6 lbs). We gifted it to family and friends who likes herring, me personally I don't like it in that form but it's fun to fish and thankfully I know a lot of people who loves herring! Everyone who we gave it to got really happy because it's hard to get so fresh herring if you don't fish it yourself.

Off to some raks! :)

Working on my titles and descriptions again. Met my grand-niece yesterday for the first time as the family lives 2000 miles away in Denver. It was fun.

RAK day, I love this day. I have something special in mind for today, with everything I have learned about twitter. :D

Fighting with my ex-husband today, my 10 year old daughter has been invited to attend College level Robotics this summer and he is refusing to let her go, would be at the college from 9:00. Not because of money, but because his sister will be in town and he doesn't want the robotics classes to interfere with his schedule. This is the 7th ranking robotics team in the WORLD! and she would spend the summer building, learning and competing with them. She is so upset that he said. I don't know how to fix this. :(

Hi LE, I don't think there is any getting him to see reason. If he lets Antonia go to College, then his parents will be disappointed and cut him off. His sister is a princess and can do no wrong, the world must come to a stop if she is in town and all attention must go to her. Has always been this way, will always be this way. It drove me crazy when I was married and happy that I don't have to deal with it any more, but for the little one to miss out on this opportunity, just hurts. She has a real aptitude for designing, programing and building robots to solve problems. She wants to build me one that will go to the fridge, get me a soda and bring it back, for those days I can't walk. She is driven!

Good Morning Team. Had another busy weekend and wasn't able to give Etsy the attention I wanted. I did work on 2 orders. 1 to ship today and 1 to ship tomorrow.

Glen I think you shop will be fine like that. I did the same thing when I went on vacation in March and I didn't get any complaints. Everyone was ok with the delayed response. I understand not wanting to put your shop into vacation mode for that long.

Rachel sorry to hear that your show wasn't successful. That can be so frustrating. I did a show in April that was just a complete waste of time, so unorganized!

I a sorry for not been active the last two weeks. Work was just creasy. My key engineer left our company and I am struggling to transfer his projects and get a replacement....
Shop business is doing well. My wife and I did our first art show last weekend.
It was mainly her stuff with a few of my bottle stopper. Weather was great and we sold stuff for around $500. The show wasn't that big - maybe 20-30 vendors - so, a perfect size to get our feed wet. We are going to be on vacation in Florida next week and have another show Jun 1st.

Adele - who has the most custody of your daughter? If it's you, and it's not going to cost the earth, perhaps you could apply to the Family Court (if you have such a thing) and get them to insist that your daughter goes on this "chance in a lifetime". It's a tricky one, but think it's unreasonable that Aunt wins out over a little one's possible future.

Candi, as far as I know there is not an easy way to search through team members for a specific product, I wish Etsy gave us some sort of filters sometimes!

Glen, now I'm positively, totally envious!! LOL!! I don't think you should close your shop, I'm sure that with the right announcement and an auto message to buyers when they purchase something, you'll be ok. One question though: would you need to change the shipping prices on all your listings as if you sell something when you are travelling through Canada you would need to post it from Canada of course?

Adele, I'm really sorry about your predicament. I really think it's unfair that your ex's family should put themselves first instead of putting your daughter future and education first. All situations are different of course, I'm just saying what I would do, if that was me I would make it clear to the whole family that your girl comes first and if they don't like it, it's their problem.

Congratulations on your sale Caroline! And on the catches lol! I can't do fishing, I've tried it, no patience at all! I thought of you on Saturday night, a new series of Wallander has started on BBC4, so happy!!

today is my day off and I was really hoping for a sunny day like the past ones so i could go sunbathing at the beach... well it is not :-( but I had a relaxing day so far anyway, went for a nice walk and just got back now..

Gleen -- wow..... Alcan Hwy to Alaska - this sounds fantastic - will you be away for 3 month on the road ?? please keep us informed. I'd love to hear from it, will you post photograph on you fb?

as for the shop, If you have the connection and it doesn't cause too much stress to you, I will keep it open and just state clear in the shop announcement that there might be delay in sending the items. Maybe just close for a few weeks to give you a relaxing holiday without thinking of work?

When I went away for one month in december/january, I actually put my shop on vacation because I was going in places where there were no connection and also I didn't have anybody who could look after and send my items for me from italy, so I decided to close it down for a month.
I am happy I have done it, because it would have been to much stress for me, to follow my shop from abroad and also it gave me a whole month without computer which was great .

Caroline - congrats on your sale -- and your first herring - I love them - you must live in a wonderful place - I try to immagine what it looks like to go fishing in the north sea,,, beautiful wild landscape ...

The RAK has started with what I learned about twitter, hopefully I will be able to post progress tomorrow to see how it is going.

My ex and I have join custody and for the most part don't battle at all, we both just want what is best for the little one. In this case, his privileged up bringing is clouding that goal and if he doesn't agree I have no recourse. The only person being hurt her is Antonia, I wish that he saw that.
