Hi Everyone,
Thanks for letting me join the group. My name's Elaine, my shop's called Lagneys and it's been open for a month now. I make jewellery, mainly using polymer clay, copper wire and beads. I made my first sale last week which threw me into a blind panic, but the blood pressure's settling down again now.

Yay Lagney, what a surprise!! Welcome!! I'm so glad to see you here :)) This team is brilliant, and it has helped me a lot with my shop and sales, stick around and you'll see it for yourself :))

Well, the plan today was to walk the dog first, paint the 3 mini picket fences that I have built as props for the window of the brick and mortar shop, then go to the shop to start dusting, put my new crafts on the shelves and move things around before I re-open in a week's time, but guess what... it's pouring down with rain, and that was not even forecasted!! Pa'h. Bigger problems in the world, I know lol.

I hope Alanna will pop in to let us know how she got on at the hospital yesterday :) And congratulations to Nilene on her big sale to the store in San Diego, that's just brilliant news!!

Busy regular workday ahead for me and starting off with it being -7 outside with a very bad wind chill. I need to re-work my shop because sales have come to a halt and I am thinking I need to check categories as that and tags and titles seem to be the key factors. I thought I had them all correct but I am guessing that may not be the fact. So, that is what I plan on for today after work. If anyone has any suggestions though on if I need to change something, please let me know!

Good morning everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't been on much or very active in the daily chat. I've just been trying to sort things out with everything that's been going on, but it's time to rejoin the world now ;o)

I've got a busy day planned, too and need to run to the post office to ship out a pair of really pretty fingerless, elbow length gloves. I used an alpaca blend to make them and they're incredibly soft and fuzzy...it's hard to let them go LOL

John - my sales have pretty much dropped off, too. I think I need to just get back in the saddle and start posting my new stuff. My shop could use the activity ;o)

Good Morning All and welcome to all new members,

I joined etsy about mid November and since feel like I have great success, I am averaging 500 to 700 views a day, about half of those are from etsy search, but I am still struggling with sales. Can someone help me to improve the way my shop looks so people don't only stop by and look but actually want to purchase something? Are my prices too high, are my prices too low, are my items bad? I was just wondering if someone could give me some quick feedback on how to improve?

Jeannie - I know what you mean. I have been so busy trying to finish two custom orders and keep up with everything else, I have only had time to post a new dream catcher and have not had time to make anything new. Hopefully soon though.

Adele - I would love to have that many views a day for my shop! Looked to me like your listings are good and so are the prices. Do you use social media to help promote?

Evening all, my Friday has sped by.
I have a custom order to do but luckily I have the weekend to get it dine.
I gave also been busy rewriting some of my descriptions and have decided to include some of my feedback about the item in the description. Does anyone else do this?
Today I also listed my dearest item to see what interest there will be.

Hi everyone! Is raining hard here where I live, but it is an amazing day for designing! That's what I do! I opened the store about two weeks ago, I still haven't got any sales... I'm trying to improve the tags and titles, like John, but even though I read a lot about it I still cannot make sense of the order. Hello, everyone! Val, you get your wish. I went to the VA Hospital in Baltimore, in an ambulance, because I couldn't sit down. The doctors decided to give me muscle relaxants -- I already had pain meds -- but then on the way back, my sister and I were in a car accident. A van struck us on the left passenger door, giving us a tremendous shock. He was trying to move into our lane.

I wasn't hurt, but my sister had to go to the hospital to have her back checked out. The car was drivable, but I couldn't drive because I had taken pain meds. So I sat for an hour waiting for an hour, waiting for the tow truck. I rode home in the truck. As soon as I got home, my sister called from the hospital, saying she was ready to come home. So, off I went, buckety buckety, to pick her up. We finally got home around 7:30. Ugh. A miserable, long day.

Today is stay at home day, taking pain meds and.muscle relaxants, and probably sleeping.

Sorry I haven't welcomed our newest members personally, but welcome as a group! Glad your're with us!

Today I will be rearranging my office and craft room. It seems cramped and I want to have more space to work with. Wish me luck with computer, printer, cables and cords to move..not to mention the tons of yarn, etc.

Oops sorry Val, missed your post, sorry the weather's washed out your plans - brilliant sunshine here but flippin cold. Yamila my store has only been open a few weeks, I've joined the Etsy school which is running through February. I'm not sure if it's too late to join but I'm finding it very helpful with getting things up and running.

Well here in the Pac NW we got our chance at all this snow USA is having. We got about 2 inches yesterday and we are on track to get 3+ today and more tonight with freezing rain..I guess this gives me more time to work on my shop, because this mama ain't going no-where.

I am even going to walk to the post office to drop off my orders (it is only about 1/2 mile away)!!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I have not been around to chat but I hand to finished up my end of the taxes. So now it is in my husband's hands to do all the confusing Tax stuff. Trying to stay caught up and getting everything done I need to but spinning my wheels instead. I wanted to list some new items but I am lucky to get the expired one listed.

I have read the chats and faved items on all the games. I see there are many new members and I want to say WELCOME! You are among a wonderful group of people who are kind and generous.

I have to get back to work and get some orders finished so I can ship tomorrow morning. This Weather is really getting too much to handle. Trying to get in and out of the drive way has been the challenge this week. We have a large driveway and chipping the ice off has been time consuming. 2/1/14 we had 61° but on 2/3/14 we got hit with 4" of snow with a layer of ice on top. We have had 37" so far this winter in the Northern Kentucky Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area and it is rare to have snow like this. So where exactly is this global warming they are talking about? Anyway Folks, Have a Lovely Day where ever you are!

Well it has been a busy week of making art. I had 2 sales the other night. I had only 1 sale last month. I am sure hoping that these 2 sales are the first of many this month. I have been working so hard for months to get traffic to my store and generate more sales.. Of course just this past week with AAA has done more good than anything :-)
