In between my office hours, i'm working with a friend of mine who specializes in SEO and marketing. I'm trying to get together a post that would provide us all with great tips on SEO and getting your shop name and products out there! In the meantime, i thought id share a quick tip about what we talked about today. We talked about using Google Trends as a tool to visually see what and when topics are talked about. For example, since my next product im releasing is a bottle opener, i ran a search for "bottle openers" and could see around june and december is the high point for when people search for bottle openers. This tells me i will get more bang for my buck in advertising if i release my ads around that time. also, since i see a spike in searches around june/july i can almost assume that they are buying bottle openers in preparation for summer events like BBQ's. That may lead me to take pictures of my product being used in such settings. There's a lot to take from Google Trends but if you're interested, check it out and see what benefits it has for your shop.
