Hi All, I am facing an issue with customer no one like to have. 

Please, read the conversation below and let me know if you faced same situation, any advise is appreciated.

 

Customer"You need help with: I want to message the seller about something else
Note for seller: The z is wrong and the paint is coming off.

This was supposed to ge a birthday gift for my cousin". 

 Seller: Hi Yasser, Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Regarding to the Z letter, it is not wrong that is the font you chose.
For the paint, that's first time happing, have you scratch it or you receive it like that.
Please advise,

Customer: It was received like that. Just opened it.

Seller: Mistake could happing Yasser.
Our goal is always to provide our very best product so that our customers are happy.
However, when is your cousin birthday.

Customer: October 19th. = 

Man I'm sad. She my favorite cousin. She helps me out with everything and also here for me.

Seller: I understand Yasser, and I never left my customer sad.

Okay, can you package the one you have carefully from damages and ship it to this address.

I will send you a new one.

Please choose another font regarding to the Z Dose that work for you.

 

Customer: Can you do regular font and not in marker? Can i ship it Monday? Post office by my house closed weekends.

 

Seller: Sure no Problem, Be with me I will send you some Fonts

Choose the font you like from photo attached.

 

Customer: Ill send it today. Heading to post office, Just got out of shower.

 

Seller: choose the font please so I can make you the new one and ship it fast, no problem send it Monday.

Have you choose the font, i have to make it fast so you can receive it on time.

Customer: Regular, Normal font

 

Seller: I sent you photo chose number

 

Customer: Number 3

 

Customer: Don't send replacement. I talked to my cousin and told her about her birthday present defects before going to post office. She said she'll keep it because she did not want me paying extra to ship it back.

I just got home. I still feel bad.

 

Seller: I just shipped it

Customer: You can go get it back. She said she'll keep the defective one. She said she does not want me spending extra money.

Customer: Call up your post office. My cousin does not want it. She'll keep damage one.

 

Seller: I couldn’t get the new one back. The post office doesn’t give it to me back.
You will receive it soon.

Yes, it is a nightmare conversation.  They will have to pay for it!  Have Etsy settle it!

I am sorry you are having this issue.  Have them send a photo of the product.  If it is what they ordered, they must pay for it.  There are so many people trying to get things for free it is crazy.  I have a no refund or exchange policy because of this kind of customer.  If there really is an issue, they send a photo.  If I do not get a photo, I assume the person is wanting something for free.  Take care and if they won't send a photo, do NOT return any money.  Good luck! - Mary

i would also send all info to etsy & if not resolved, send to paypal, if this is how she paid & they have come through for me in past. sorry for yur problem.

Sorry to say this but if the item was not very expensive, I would just let it go.  It's not worth the aggravation and wasting time thinking about.  It does not sound like she did this deliberately to me.  If she had, her words would have been chosen a bit more aggressively.  I have had a few try to pull one on me over the years but this does not sound like one. Things happen sometimes. Just put it away as a one off and get on with your life.
