My name is Silvia and my shop is SivaniAccessories (http://www.etsy.com/shop/SivaniAccessories). Sivani is a collection of urban fashion accessories (jewelry, bags, and wallets) for men and women. My jewelry is handmade using genuine leather, sterling silver, gemstones, and pearls. My bags and wallets are handcrafted using techniques from the old tradition of leather-working and made to be passed down the generations.

I mostly make greeting cards and jewelry. I love vintage inspired things and anything very feminine. I turned my hobbies into a business after having to quit work for health reasons. I truly love what I do and think it’s a blessing that I have the opportunity to live my life doing what I love most.

Lately, I have been very busy with school; I’m finishing up a bachelor degree in environmental studies. And in my spare time I have been focusing on wedding related jewelry. I just love how luxurious and beautiful they are!

I thrilled to be part of this cool team! I live in Michigan (for those of you outside the US, we're the state that looks like a mitten surrounded by the great lakes) - live in the same city I was born, all my family is here, and love it. Have two teenagers - my son (15) is a classical music junkie and speaks japanese, my daughter (12) is an equestrian - in fact we bought a horse last fall which was my incentive to start this shop to earn a little extra money to support boarding and vet bills!
I am so amazed by the support of Etsy - I just love working with fellow artists, supporting each other, sharing ideas.
During the day, I am undercover as an administrator at the University of Michigan... its actually an awesome job ;)
