I have included this in my announcement page. Does 5% off really work? Yes, it has for me.
Why? As the saying goes a poor man needs a discount (I like my senior discounts) and a rich man loves a discount.
TARGET does well with their 5% off store card, as does AMAZON with their 5% off store card. I have both.
Costco's new Citi bank card gives 4% off on gasoline purchases plus other discount on other purchases.
About half of all fast food stores I visit offer "senior discounts" from Taco Bell's free small senior drink to a Greek Food store that gives me 15% off.
5% off one's total order encourages shoppers to spend a little more and save too.
