DAY 26

Home stretch! You know the drill.

Revise titles and tags for your percentage of listings. With any luck, items are selling and there are less to revise.

If you're stuck on one listing, feel free to post here and we'll jam on some ideas.

Revising and revisiting listings daily!
I have been more vigilant this month, the cleanse has motivated me to step it up...

Re: DAY 26

I'm a little behind on the Cleanse but working on orders yay!

Today I listed a Custom Order and would like you critique. Not sure if I should revise Title/tags etc.

Please critique away. Your input really helps :)

Re: DAY 26

Danialy, I do like to optimize even for custom listings because sometimes it takes customer a week to buy and all the while that listing is like an advertisement for other shoppers.

That listing right now is optimized for zero phrases. Many people do not worry about optimizing custom listings which is fine.

Are you wanting that listing optimized?

What would you suggest? I'm not sure to be honest?

Re: DAY 26

I use the same listing over and over for custom orders. I have a few of them. So that way I just change a few details each time I relist it and I don't have to keep creating an entire new listing each time.

So you can optimize this one, she buys it. And the next time you have a custom order, you just renew it with details changed.

Re: DAY 26

Hey, Danialy, I'm going to recommend NOT using a buyer's full name. Some are very touchy about having their name publicly appearing on the internet. I would change it to "Kathy N." or "K.N." or "a special customer".

I can't offer other good advice on custom listings, because my items are vintage (so always OOAK). I often delete all but pertinent information on my reserved items so they are NOT searchable.

Different strokes, huh?

Re: DAY 26

Agreed on not using full name - My custom listings just say "reserved for someone special" and I convo the link to the customer...

Re: DAY 26

Yes, I have always truncated the name in custom order, for their privacy. I haven't figured out yet how to put together a custom order photo that would be appealing to someone to click on, as I can't take a photo of the item until it's made, and I won't start it until it's purchased. I think that Danialy's custom order photo is a good one, that I'll try to emulate. Maybe a photo of baby toys and a blanket over the edge of a crib, with a full description with appropriate title & tags, will be a definite improvement over the generic one I have used in the past.
