Hi everyone,I’ve been reading a lot lately about reindexing and how changing your titles can temporarily deindex or tank a listing. I admittedly don’t know much about algorithm, but now I’m wondering what else counts as a “major” change.This time of year I’m in my listings constantly — updating inventory, swapping photos, adding variations, etc. My questions are:Does simply adjusting inventory levels hurt a listing?What about adding a variation (like a new color) within a popular listing?Do tag updates trigger a full reindex?Are there other listing edits that cause Etsy to “reset” your ranking?And lastly, do changes to the shop banner, announcement, or shop settings affect visibility at all?Trying to understand what’s safe to update regularly and what I should avoid messing with during high-traffic season.
