Get to know these standout shops and support your fellow sellers by nominating them for the People’s Pick Etsy Design Award. From June 14 to June 21, vote by favoriting an item from the finalists you love* at etsy.com/designawards.
Winners—handpicked by Etsy’s Dayna Isom Johnson and designers from The Expert, including Jake Arnold, Jenna Lyons, and Brigette Romanek—will be announced in late July.

I just cast my vote. I won't break the secrecy of the ballot box, but I'll just say that I went with something that was a budget-friendly creative way of supporting the buyer's own creativity. I saw it and thought "THAT is what Etsy is about!"

·4 years agoWe are SOOOO excited to be a finalist in this years Etsy Design Awards! Our journey started seven years ago, hustling after hours and on the weekends! We were using discarded materials to bring high quality goods to peoples home. It has been such a wild ride. Moved to a new city, started working a part time job instead of a fulltime and eventually quitting my day job entirely to pursue my business head on! Etsy was our starting ground and it feels so wonderfully full circle to be a finalist for this years Design Awards!!!

·4 years agoWhile there are a number of wonderful designs, it is disappointing to see such a narrow range of style presented. While I can appreciate the work and talent of the creators, the majority of what was picked is just not to my taste at all. But it isn't too surprising since Etsy picks over time seem to be pretty narrow in focus and don't present well the variety that is here. I would so love to see a greater variety represented here on Etsy.

·4 years agoIt will always have a mainly orange, brown, gold, etc aesthetic. That's why I didn't enter this year, I knew I wasn't using enough shades of brown in my shop.

Happy for them . I will not participate again tbh I do not meet that aesthetic at all .

·4 years ago@NiciLaskin it is disappointing to time after time not see Etsy represent the variety that is here. I can understand your not wanting to enter in the future. It is similar to many knowing in the past that no matter how lovely a treasury they created, it had no hope of ever being on the home page unless it met Etsy's very narrow aesthetic choices. It is sad when the wide variety of styles and colors of items available here has always been amazing.

I'm not in the least bit dismissing those who were selected that earned it, some truly talented folks here on Etsy. I'm just a Blue Jeans and T-Shirt kind of Gal on a budget but I do enjoy a fashion show and know that most of what hits the runway is pure fantasy and worthless in the Real World.

·4 years ago@NiciLaskin same aesthetic, yes. I just got finished looking at the finalists and it's almost as if they were done by the same person. Or at least all the items belong in the same house together. Whoever picks the finalists was obviously going for a very cohesive group to look nice together. There's just not much variety of style though

We are SO honoured to have our Diana Ring in Black Onyx celebrated. Congratulations to all the other finalists-- you guys, we did it!!
I first started my business on Etsy in 2013. A friend convinced me to put a few listings up and now, almost a decade later, here we are...
Etsy is a great space to help small businesses and designers get started. I owe a lot to this platform, and to now be celebrated on it truly feels surreal.

·4 years agoThe river rock lamp by Surcle stood out to me right away. It's a creative design but looks timeless. Plus I'm impressed that they design and create the lampshade as well from rope so it all comes together with a subtle nautical vibe. I'd love to have it in my home.
