Etsy Insights: Trending patterns to have on your radar
Hi everyone!
Isabella from Etsy’s Community team here. Today I want to highlight two familiar patterns that appear to be taking on a contemporary twist for 2025. Recent buyer behavior on Etsy.com and broader industry data indicates a rising interest in classic prints like polka dots and stripes.*
Polka Dots
Polka dots are getting a fresh update this year. This classic print is more versatile than ever, with fun new takes on scale, texture, and color giving it a modern feel.

Stripes
Stripes are also stepping out of their usual nautical vibe. This year, it’s all about mixing things up—think different widths, unexpected textures, and bold color combos to keep them looking cool and current.

·1 year agoIn our case, it’s mostly nature that shapes the patterns – we create compositions with dried plants, so the designs are kind of dictated by the natural forms. :)

It is polka dots for the win for me, but I have plenty of stripe design vintage jewelry and collectibles from my late grandmother's estate I will add in the next few days. Good luck to everyone! ·1 year agoWe want to go for both! Stripes design is something our pashmina artists are quite familiar with, they make beautiful stripes design pashmina on handlooms using EKAT weaving technique. But I have always wanted to bring them the challenge of making Polka dots in the weaving or embroidery designs! This will definitely be a challenge as it will be something new, but this is how we keep this century old art alive - innovation and creativity!
