Etsy Insights: Mother’s Day in the UK!
Hello, all!
My name is Lauren and I work on Etsy’s Seller Growth team, and I help sellers in the UK (and around the world) optimise and grow their businesses on Etsy. This year, we looked into upcoming trends to help sellers prepare their shops for important moments. With UK Mother’s Day just around the corner (March 14), and Mother’s Day in the US and other countries following (May 9), now’s the time to get your shop in tip-top gifting shape. Gear up with these trending picks that offer a thoughtful touch for every kind of mum (or mom), both near and far.
Inclusive gifts: Whether a new mum, stepmum, pet mum, or plant mum, every kind of mum deserves a little something special.
Self-care goods: Help shoppers check off mum’s wellness wish list by adding items that will help her relax. Think bath salts, candles, and yoga mats.
Quality time items: Feature high-quality gifts that bring parents and kids together, such as cooking, art, and enjoyable educational activities.

·5 years agoThe purpose of the Crown-Of-Creation project is to help young children develop habits of rational thinking, like Richard Feynman’s father did with his young son, habits that would protect children from the U.N. indoctrination program that now passes as K-12 education in western schools.
The project is underlying the principles of individual freedom under non-fiat rule of law and critical enquiry.
The name of the game is ‘Crown of Creation’ it is meant to be used as a bedtime story. The players of the game will be three members of a family, there is a mom, a dad and their child, the nuclear basis of civilization, and in this game, which is a game of life, the parents will be helping the child to play the game, coming together to solve puzzles, – but ultimately the focus is on the child, establishing first habits, what you do and learn is what you become, finding through play, answers to puzzles and the gift of rational thinking that will follow the child through life itself.
Concept behind the game. We sapiens are nature’s crown of creation, fitted through evolutionary development, large brain, complex language, conscious thought and dexterous hands, to uncover truths of nature in an interrobang opposing entropy, entropy that’s both physical and mental, which is homo-sapien’s enemy. Armed with nature’s gifts, what we do and learn we do become, that is our destiny.

However the use of the word MOM will not get you many sales in the UK as we mostly call our mothers MUM.
If you made another version with the different spelling you may sell more in the UK

·5 years agoI don't sell to UK but I have Mother's Day cards for U.S. buyers listed and ready to ship.
I respectfully ask Etsy, as I do every year, to add a Mother's Day and Father's Day subcategory to the holiday & seasonal card category. If you can have a subcategory for Independence Day cards, surely you can include Mother's Day and Father's Day as well? Did you know Mother's Day is one of the top 3 holidays for sending greeting cards?

·5 years agoSo my business originally started as a mother's day present in 2019! My mum is a yoga teacher and I made her a personalised top. All her yogis loved them so I started making more, and coming up with more yoga puns!! And then I took the plunge a couple months ago and started an etsy store!
Lots of mums have got into yoga over the lockdown so this is a perfect gift!
