there is a Southern Hemisphere and we are doing the Autumn/Winter thang.

·3 months agoSuper interesting, and I have to say this is very helpful to know 😊
100% handmade products are always the best, and Etsy should definitely push that more. Smaller shops also deserve more support, as there is a lot of struggle for them to stand out and grow in such a competitive space.
MakeandMendbyJacqui
·3 months agoThis is all very interesting. I have only just opened my shop selling things i have either made or upcycled or reimagined. So if there is a trend for 'visible craftmanship' I HOPE i will fall into that category - I turned a music centre into a side table sewing box. Just have to see i guess, if anyone likes it!
nesbyselma
·3 months agoHello !
I’ve been closely following the discussions about the 100% handmade product trends for this year. As a creator focusing on handmade jewelry and bags, I find the shift towards unique, slow-fashion accessories very promising. I’m hoping to connect with shoppers who value the time and craftsmanship behind these pieces.
Since the jewelry and bag categories are quite competitive, I would love to get a 'shop critique' from this experienced community. Could you take a look at my shop and let me know if I have any missing points? I’m particularly interested in feedback regarding:
My product photography (Do the textures and details of the bags/jewelry stand out?)
My SEO and Titles (Am I using the right keywords for these categories?)
Branding (Does my shop tell a clear story?)
Thank you so much in advance for your support! Here is my shop link https://nesbyselma.etsy.com

·4 months agoHi @daynaisom , I didn't see anything for this year's big Independence Day celebration for America's 250th birthday. I have been selling Americana/patriotic stuff at a pretty good pace. Maybe Etsy should add that in?

I’ve noticed a beautiful trend this wedding season—couples are looking for decor with a deeper meaning. I create embroidered napkins featuring family protection symbols and the Tree Power of the Clan.
I specialize in high-density embroidery on textile, turning everyday items into symbolic amulets that carry a story. If you love art that brings a sense of protection and harmony to the home, feel free to stop by!

·4 months agoHello everyone,
Thank you, Dyana, for the great insights!
I’ve had my Etsy shop for about two years, where I sell handmade crochet shoulder bags and crochet supplies like cord and patterns. Until now, it’s been more of a hobby than a full-time job, but this year I’m determined to change that. Because of this, I’ve recently been spending a lot of time updating my listing titles, tags, and descriptions based on current search trends, especially for crochet shoulder bags and crossbody phone bags.
You’re welcome to browse my shop if you’d like.

·5 months agoThis is one of the most insightful trend reports I’ve seen recently—thank you for sharing.
What stands out the most is how strongly buyers are shifting toward authenticity and meaning, rather than just aesthetics. The rise in searches for journals and memory-keeping products really confirms that people are craving more tangible, personal experiences in an increasingly digital world.
The “Dear Diary” trend especially resonates. It’s not just about a product anymore—it’s about creating something that becomes part of someone’s daily ritual and story.
It’s also interesting to see how “visible craftsmanship” is gaining value again. As small makers, this is actually where we have the strongest advantage if we position it correctly.
Curious to see how others are adapting—are you focusing more on storytelling in your listings, or product experience itself?

·5 months agoI’ve been noticing the same thing lately. People are not just buying designs anymore, they want something that actually feels personal and means something to them.
I’ve been experimenting with keeping things simple but adding more depth and detail into the designs. Still figuring things out, but it has been a really interesting direction so far.
Curious what everyone else is working on right now. https://mikazukistudios.etsy.com

·5 months agoIt’s really exciting to see such a huge rise in interest around wall art and gallery prints—especially the shift toward more curated and nostalgic gallery walls. It feels like people are becoming more intentional about how they decorate their spaces, mixing personal meaning with aesthetics rather than just following trends.
As a small Etsy seller, I’ve definitely started noticing this preference for timeless, handcrafted pieces that can fit into a larger story on someone’s wall. It’s also pushed me to think more about how my products can complement a broader “gallery wall” look rather than stand alone.
I’ve been experimenting with designs and presentation to better align with this trend, especially focusing on quality and versatility. If anyone’s interested in handcrafted leather pieces that can add a unique touch to a space, feel free to check out my shop:

Would love to hear how other sellers are adapting—are you designing specifically for gallery walls or sticking with standalone statement pieces?

·5 months agoThis is such an exciting trend shift! I’ve definitely been adapting my shop to align with the growing demand for wall art and curated gallery sets.
Lately, I’ve been focusing more on vintage-inspired textile prints, muted color palettes (like dusty blue, sage, and warm beige), and cohesive gallery wall sets that customers can easily mix and match. I’ve also started creating set bundles (2-piece and 3-piece prints) to help shoppers build a ready-to-hang aesthetic more effortlessly.
It’s really interesting to see how nostalgia and texture-driven designs are coming back strong—especially with that slightly aged, imperfect vintage look. I’m also optimizing my listings with more targeted keywords like gallery wall set, vintage wall art, and textured print to match these trends.
Looking forward to experimenting even more with this direction

·5 months agoIt’s really inspiring to see how trends are shifting toward craftsmanship and playful design.
In our small workshop, we’ve been focusing on handcrafted wooden toys inspired by Waldorf and Montessori play, which naturally align with both the “Soft Stitch Era” and “World of Whimsy” trends.
We see more and more families looking for toys that feel truly handmade, with visible wood textures and soft, natural colors. Our wooden rainbow stackers, for example, are designed not only as toys but also as playful and decorative pieces that bring warmth and creativity into children’s spaces.
It’s exciting to see how open-ended toys and natural materials are becoming a bigger part of everyday life.
Are you also seeing more demand for natural and open-ended toys in your shops?
