I'm Mary from the Etsy Merchandising team and I wanted to share what we're seeing across buyer search trends this fall. From cozy gatherings to game day setups, shoppers are actively looking for unique, handcrafted finds. Here's what we're tracking and how you can get your listings ready:

Fall Porch Decor 🍂
Fall decorating has become its own ritual and buyers are looking for porch and entryway pieces that feel personal, not just seasonal. If you make wreaths, door hangers, or outdoor decor, now's the time to refresh those listings.

For your shop: Consider products and keywords related to porch decor, seasonal wreaths, throw pillows, and cottagecore styles.

The Cozy Club 📚
One of the biggest fall trends we're tracking is buyers creating more intentional at-home moments like book clubs, movie nights, and other cozy gatherings. Tableware, candles, custom mugs—if your shop fits that vibe, lean into it.

For your shop: Think about how your products fit into a cozy night in, and use relevant keywords in your descriptions, tags, and photos.

Halloween 🎃
Many Halloween shoppers start prepping well before October, and what they want from Etsy is something only Etsy sellers can deliver. A costume accessory that's truly unique, decor with a real point of view—that's where you have a real edge.

For your shop: If you sell in this space, now is the time to list. Make sure your tags are specific—many buyers search by aesthetic (gothic or cottagecore) and not just by occasion.

Game Day 🏈
Whether it's fantasy football draft night or a board game tournament, buyers are looking for finds that make their game setup feel personal, not just functional. Custom draft boards, themed decor, unique serveware—if your shop has anything for game day, now's the time to get those listings in front of fans.
