Welcome to Community Hub Release Notes! As always, we appreciate your feedback – every question, comment, and idea shared helps us improve this space. We are listening closely and want to keep you updated on the Hub, including functionality, fixes, and new features.
We'll be using your feedback to consistently improve the experience. If you have more to share, you can add your thoughts anytime through the Hub feedback survey.

HUB UPDATE AS OF AUG 10, 2026:
📋 More context when your post or comment is removed
We heard from you that it wasn’t always clear when a discussion you participated in was removed, either at the original poster’s request or due to a moderation flag. We’ve updated removal notifications to provide more context when content is removed from the Forums.
If your comment is removed because the original post was removed, you’ll now receive a notification letting you know so that you know that the removal isn’t a reflection of your participation. When your own content is removed by an Etsy moderator, you may also receive more information about why it was removed.
To adjust your notification settings, click your Profile icon in the top right > Notification Settings > Removals.

HUB UPDATE AS OF JULY 22, 2026:
🔔 Desktop notifications are now easier to access
On desktop, clicking the notification bell on the Community Hub now opens a notification window, so you can quickly catch up without leaving the page you are on.
You can still mark all notifications as read or select "View all notifications" to open the full notifications page. On mobile, notifications continue to open the full notifications page.
Thanks to your feedback, we've also restored the ability to open notification links in a new tab and remove individual notifications from the menu.

HUB UPDATES AS OF JULY 1, 2026:
🔔 Notifications for nested replies
Many of you mentioned missing nested replies to your posts and comments and losing track of ongoing conversations. You can now turn on notifications for nested replies by clicking your avatar in the top right > Profile > Notification Settings > "Nested replies in threads you started" or "Nested replies in threads you participated in."
💬 @ mentions now surface thread contributors first
When mentioning someone in a comment, contributors to that thread now appear at the top of the dropdown for quicker selection. You can still search for and tag other sellers as well.

You can now add images to your comments and replies to posts in Forums.
Please note that images in comments are subject to the same moderation protocols and Community Policy as images in original posts.

👀 See who reacted to your post or comment
We heard your feedback! You can now see who reacted to your own posts and comments.
While the wider Community still only sees reaction counts, the details are now visible to you as the author of a post or comment. Community Admins, site Moderators, and Team Captains (within their own Team's boards) can also view reaction details.
By default, you'll be notified of reactions in-platform. Email notifications are available by clicking your avatar in the top right > Profile > Notification Settings.

🖼️ Resize images when creating a post
When adding images to a post, you can now resize them by dragging the edges or by entering a specific size in pixels. You can also add captions to your images. Please note that images may be temporarily held for moderation to help keep the Community a safe space.

📁 New boards dropdown in Forums menu
We’ve added a new dropdown menu to the Community Hub top navigation that shows all Forums boards in one place. This makes it easier to jump directly to a specific board. If you prefer to browse everything at once, you can view posts from all boards in a single feed by selecting "Forum Feed."

HUB UPDATES AS OF JAN 12, 2026:
🔒 The Technical Issues discussion board is now private
In response to your feedback, we have now gated the Technical Issues board so only logged in users can view, post, or engage with its content.
✒️ Board descriptions have been updated
Board descriptions now include an indication of whether a board is publicly viewable (Announcements & Etsy Success), or private to logged in users only (all other boards).

HUB UPDATES AS OF DEC 17, 2025:
📝 View All, Pending, and Draft posts on your profile
You can now filter your discussion activity in your profile by:
All: All content written by you
Pending: Content written by you that is held for up to 24 hours for manual Moderator review. This review period may be longer during the holiday season
Draft: Original posts that you have drafted, but have not posted yet
To access these filters, click your profile icon in the top right > Profile > Discussions. This area includes two sections of content that you have written: Posts and Comments.
"All" and "Pending" filters are available for both posts and comments, while "Drafts" are available only for posts
↕️ Sort comments within a thread by recently engaged
You can now sort comments within a thread by "Recently Engaged" in addition to Newest → Oldest and Oldest → Newest. Selecting "Recently Engaged" moves any comment with the most recent interaction to the top of the thread. You can change the sort order at any time.
💬 FIXED: Notification load time
We heard your reports that Forums posts opened from notifications were slow to load, often displaying the original post (OP) for an extended period. A fix has been deployed so that the comment or reply you clicked now loads quickly and appears “sticky” at the top of the screen.

🔝 Forums feed and board pages now scroll to the top
When clicking through numbered pages on the Homepage, Forums feed, or individual boards, the page will now automatically scroll to the top, placing you at the most recently active post on that page.

⏰ Dynamic timestamps
Each Forums post now displays both the date it was originally published, and the date of its most recent reply in the feed. Posts in the main Forums feed and individual board feeds continue to be ordered with the most recently active threads at the top, whether newest original post or most recent reply.

HUB UPDATES AS OF DEC 4, 2025:
↕️ Sorting comments within an original post
When you are viewing an original Forums post, comments can now be sorted from Newest > Oldest or Oldest > Newest. The dropdown to sort is located beneath the body of the original post. You can change the way comments are sorted on a thread at any time.
😊 Anonymized reactions
We heard from many community members that anonymous reactions, similar to what was offered in the previous Community Forums, help people feel more comfortable and encourage them to engage more frequently. To ensure a welcoming experience, all emoji reactions now only show the count for each emoji, not the names of the members who have reacted.
💬 FIXED: Long comments
Some users reported difficulty posting longer comments in the comment box. The underlying issue has now been resolved.
