It's been a weird summer and I've not checked this thread in a while. Since my last posting (June, maybe?) I'm now over 100 sales and according to e-rank I'm in the top 23% of Etsy sellers. Not half-bad for a little Vintage shop that started in the waning days of December 2025. That makes me very happy, even though I'm really not sure how I managed that 23% thing.

I think it's that new wand I got at Olivander's ;)

Hi everyone!
My biggest achievement has been launching my Etsy shop and building a growing collection of digital embroidery files inspired by Moroccan caftans and abayas.
I now have 21 listings, and I've been focusing on improving my embroidery digitizing skills, product images, and SEO with every new design.
I'm still waiting for my first sales, but I'm proud of the progress I've made and excited to keep growing.

I'm really proud of how much my shop grew in May. Compared to April, I went from 389 to 672 visits, my favorite items nearly tripled from 108 to 297, and I received 3 orders. One of my biggest milestones was getting my first international order! 🌎 It was such an exciting moment knowing that something I made was going to someone in another country. It reminded me that my creations can reach people far beyond where I live. I also reached shoppers in 3 cities across 2 countries, which was another exciting milestone for my little shop. Seeing so many more people discover and favorite my creations really motivated me to keep creating. Here's to even more growth in the months ahead! 💖✨

I have good and bad months in terms of sales and it does not upset me at all, because I understand economics and I do a great deal of promotion, sales and so forth. June was too slow for the over-rated, Star Seller, program, despite 100% in all areas, thus it no longer concerns me. It does not enhance or contribute anything but a purple dot on my pages. I am no longer going to stress or even consider it. Etsy as so many know has gone downhill for a number of years and while I will remain on it, shame on you for being so demanding of your faithful sellers.

May was a good month. June is Terrible! What is going on with the website??? So many changes and so many Flaws! Will we Ever get back to some degree on how Etsy used to be? I had over 700 items, now down to just over 600. I honestly do Not feel like I should continually, this month, keep listing and relisting my items until the changes that are being made to the website Stop me from receiving sales. I have been on Etsy for over 6 years and I can definitely tell something is Wrong with this website.

I have two shops but currently have been focusing on just one of them (digital templates). I've had this one going for over a year and I am only at 28 sales. I have paid different people for their services but I have not seen any big changes. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong-even selecting experts and spending $$ on ads has not made any changes. I really need help.

My bank verification has been stuck since May 28. Etsy rejected my document and asked me to upload a new one, but there is no upload button in my account.

Live Chat keeps telling me to wait a few more days, but no one contacts me.

My shop is active, I receive orders, but my payouts are restricted and I cannot access my own money.

Has anyone experienced this or knows how to get help from the Etsy team?

I have designed midi dresses since end of April (now there are 20 dresses in my shop) printed with my Italian and birds painting. On 15th May, I've sold my first dress to a lovely customer from US who worn it to a Dolce and Gabbana exhibition in Miami. The dress is Rio Tera Secondo Venice Canal, Italy.

after 7 years of being on etsy i have finally decided to work it properly. Starting with a listing a day, and upgrading the tired listings from years ago. so far i have 15 listed properly, pics, videos, the lot, i also have 3 completed in draft to put up over the next 3 days as i have a house full of visitors and i want to keep the momentum going. I am determined to be able to enjoy orders later on in the year, and ideally not have to do any christmas fairs.

the main thing i can tell you is make sure you dont have any listings that etsy thinks need to be improved upon. when i first joined her shop we had 790 listings that needed to be updated.

I like your plan. I came here from another platform where speed and number of postings was the secret sauce, into Etsy's world view of control and making sure things are working well. Too many listings per day (we're talking 40 or 50) can actually damper traffic. So, what I do to "keep busy" is build up those drafts with as many as I want to because - in my case - I'm going to have sick days when I can't be at my desk to work. On those days, I pull from the drafts, and my current of listings keeps rolling, even if it's a "stay in bed" day. It works perfectly!

the milestones for me were always numerically based such as 5, 10, 15 orders a day. when i started consistently hitting 5 sales a day thats when i was like hmm, we're on to something. when i hit 10 i was like hot dog! lets go! so really for me it has always been about consistent growth. good luck to you!!

My shop is about 2 months old, but due to personal commitments I wasn't able to work on it consistently. I only started actively working on my shop around 15 days ago, focusing on improving listings, SEO, thumbnails, and adding new products.

Considering that I've only been actively working on it for the last two weeks, I'm curious to know what experienced sellers think about these results.

What would you focus on next?

i would say honestly the best thing to do is work slowly but consistently on your shop - dont add 50 listings in a day, add 5 or 10 maybe. thats a good start.

I'd start with SEO improvement. I didn't dig down into your listings so I'm talking from just looking at the homepage. The things I would do in order are look at your images and make sure the "best of the best" image is your hero. That is the picture that is going to stop the scroll and make them look inside. (You might even be prepared to have more than 1 hero graphic so that you can swap them in and out over time.) Second is your titles, making sure they are optimized for search. Finally the SEO tags making sure they all pertinent, multi-word tags that best describe the product, and try to include those tags somewhere in your body copy.

Those are the things that I look at - and I am regularly reviewing - on my listings to try to boost the views.

Hi, everyone!

I opened my Etsy shop less than 15 days ago, and over the last week, I've received about 40 views and 15 visits. However, I haven't received any orders yet.

I would like your advice on what I should focus on improving at this stage. Would you recommend running Etsy Ads, or should I wait? I'm not eligible to run ads yet, but I should qualify in a few days.

I also recently received a message from a buyer. I replied, but Etsy removed the buyer message for some reason. I don't know

At the moment, all of my listings are ranking on the first page of Etsy search results organically, without any advertising, as I have a strong background in SEO. Given that visibility doesn't seem to be the issue, I would love to hear suggestions on what else I can do to help secure my first sale.

Opened my Etsy shop 3 weeks today. After enjoying painting and in particular watercolours, on and off for 20 years - then a little more dedicated for the last year or so - I had been encouraged by family, friends and work collegues.... After I finally had enough nerve to show them. Its a lot putting myself out there, but if I don't try, I will never know!
I paint for the love of it but I hope they do become enjoyed by customers, I have no sales yet and have just started running ads to help. Feeling inspired by summer right now :-)
