·5 years agoI got my 10th sale today! I know it may not be much for others especially because I started my shop in the beginning of this year, but for me it is amazing. I'm still in my full time day job and doing many other things, so I haven't had much time to advertise my shop. My day job contract ends in the end of this year and I'm not going to get new job immediately or maybe not anytime soon, so I hope next year my Etsy shop will grow and get even more customers so that one day I could start doing it full time.

·5 years agoHey everyone! I'm trying to stay a bit more active on the forums. I just received my first review today and it was a full 5 stars, it took 5 sales but I got one. Also, I got my first admirer a few weeks back but forgot to post it.

Each and every buyer have contributed equally in lifting my shop to this level.

·5 years agoI am glad that I sold 5 goods since I opened the store. Recently try to learn how to build keywords, but it took a lot of time and learning, how the goods can be seen by customers is still a difficult task, continue to learn it ！

·5 years agoHang in there! Having, selling, and promoting our Etsy shop is out of my comfort zone, but I'm not letting that stop me. I recently read a book( yes, from the library) about selling on Etsy. It was very helpful. I don't know why I didn't do that sooner. Live and you learn!

·5 years agoThe name of the book is, "How to sell your crafts online".
A few things I learned that you may already know.
1. Put your shop name in the tag section of your listing.
2. Don't just list
the facts of the the listing, let the buyer feel like they are missing out if they don't buy what your offering. Encourage buyers to add the item to their cart.
3. Instead of increasing the quantity of my listing as it sells, let it sell out and then renew. It will let the item appear again at the top of results for items in that niche.

·5 years agoFirst off, I have to say last year I made a total of 6 sales. After my mother died in December, I came back home mid January and dedicated my store to her and have made massive improvements. January through March I was learning everything I could about improving my store from the Etsy community, the Seller's Handbook and many other articles I found online. I had 1, 2, and 9 sales respectively. Then came April with 28 sales, May with 38, and June's not done yet with 40 sales! I'm still learning and growing and improving!

·5 years agoCongratulations to everyone here with milestones! It’s hard to believe that I have had my tenth sale after being at 0 for so long! Actually now a total of 14 plus one commission that should soon be purchased. Praying it continues and that I create paintings that people like. I’ve had my shop for a couple of years while working hard on my watercolor skills and only recently started to post a lot more listings. Some are not my best and I’m not sure if it is a good idea to post older pieces along with the newer but I decided I’d like to get them off my hands if possible and the price reflects this. I have a long way to go but the sales have been a big encouragement to me and are helping to pay for all the supplies I need. The best thing is that I am finally doing what I always wanted to do. Well I have rambled a bit … I’d love to hear from anyone that identifies with me! I’m still isolated due to taking a job as a nanny in the country during the COVID situation.

·5 years agoI have hit 400+ Sales in my Etsy shop, it may not be a lot for some of you but this is a massive achievement for me. Being able to sell a digital service that I feel so, passionately about is incredible.

It's such a pleasure to be here. My first milestone was setting up my shop. I finally completed my first listing today, and I feel like I just hit the very first milestone.
