Hi all,
It’s happening: we’re bidding farewell to 2020! We’ve so enjoyed reading through your milestones every month. Give yourselves a pat on the back—you’ve achieved so much throughout this crazy year!
In our final milestone thread of 2020, we’d love to hear about your wins this year. Did you hit a record-high number of sales? Or maybe you finally decided to open up your Etsy shop? ·5 years ago2020 was the best year yet since we opened our Etsy shop in 2016. We worked on our SEO, updated listings and pictures, I left my day job to focus on our business full time and it worked! We hit 1700 sales mark! Super excited about 2021. Our goal is to double our sales this year!

·5 years agoI thought it will be a tough year 2020. But my shop exceeded last years sales and I am so thankful! Also I notice that more and more of returned customers shopped from my shop which makes me feel soooo good!

·5 years agoI opened Etsy in 2016 but was pretty much inactive. I only started selling June 2020, and now I have 1200+ sales (due to the mask demand).
Now that business is slowing down, I will rebrand to make pet + owner matching accessories. Such as matching bandanas, scrunchies and bags.

·5 years agoI just opened my shop on etsy on August 2020 and got 10 orders per month.
Hope to get atleast a double orders or more in every month of2021!

·5 years agoI had my best year in 2020, more than doubled from 2019, I kept changing my goals all year. I tried to get 1000 sales. Not for the year, total. Instead it was 985. I had to close for a week in early Dec. to catch up, I had sold all the stock of my best sellers and was having to create them all by hand and when I had 21 outstanding items, I said enough and closed for 11 days. All my orders were fulfilled plus 19 more. I even fell in Nov. silly sidewalk, and was afraid I broke my wrist, but just knitted through it. I only added one new item in Nov. all the rest were the same stuff I had been carrying all year. Now this year I am planning some vacations and a move out of state so don't foresee anything like this again, should say don't want a year like this again, LOL.

·5 years agoI had my best year as well, in both # of sales and $$. I think I may have finally learned a few steps that lead to more sales, though I still have plenty of work to do on generating views for myself. So there's a goal for 2021: continue what I did right, improve on what I still don't do enough of.

·5 years agoI have had my best year since opening in 2011. My shop has slowly grown over the past 9 years and I now have many regular customers. In the past couple of years I have had around 1000 sales a year, this year I reached 7000 right at the end of October and nearly made another 500 before Christmas!! Now at 7491!! Hang on in there and make what you love, wishing everyone another brilliant year.

·5 years agoGetting laid off from my full time job (due to Covid) finally allowed me to focus on starting an Etsy shop! I am very proud of myself, for doing 75+ sales in year one. All my art is hand made and I have so many product ideas for 2021, cannot wait!!

·5 years agoIt was realy good and realy hard year! I'm only at the start of my Etsy-way! But I am glad that I sent my products to 7 countries.

·5 years agoI missed my 1000 sales by a few, but was delighted that my shop continues to potter on! I added a new product range of prints this year, and also created two new books for my handmade book collection which I am very pleased with! My books often take months, sometimes years to gestate and this year I managed to complete my tribute to John Keats after a prompt from a repeat customer - I love my customers! Happy New Year to everyone - let's hope we manage to continue amongst the challenges of the current climate.

·5 years agoI would like to earn £500 to £1000 in sales in 2021. I would like my favourites to sell. I would like to find items to purchase. I would like to promote my shop, my team's SellingForHealth and my favourite shops too.

·5 years agoMy little apron shop was blessed by selling 200% more aprons in 2020. This was very exciting and I am encouraged that 2021 will be a terrific year for sales. I congratulate all those who have had a great selling year and I wish every seller a Happy New Year. (My shop will be nine years old in February.)

·5 years agoLast year was our official full year in business. It was a slow start, as herbal tinctures are not as big of seller as crafts and such. (and I really don't have that many products out) I have been doing some extra ads the last two months which has helped and so will continue to add more product and increase our presence through more ads. I am expecting great things this year! It has already started out great with a few sales in the first couple of days.

·5 years ago2020 was the best year of revenue, so that was good. I did reach my goal of hitting 12,000 by the end of the year. Luckily, I had a huge order on New Year's Eve, which sent me over the top. YAY! And I was able to get to 2,200 people who favorited the shop.
I don't have many goals for 2021. Just keep doing what I am doing and hopefully make a bit more revenue than last year. One goal I do have is to clean out my storage rooms so I could actually have bedrooms for my visitors when we are able to have grandchildren sleep over again. That is a lot of listing in my future!

·5 years agoI opened my Etsy account in July 2020 during lockdown. I have 3 young children so having a “normal”office job just doesn’t work for us. Having my Etsy account means I can fulfil orders while the kids are at school or on an evening when they are in bed. It’s an absolute dream!
I ended the year on over 500 sales! I was so happy! Im hoping to hit 1000 sales before my Etsy 1st anniversary.

·5 years agoMy number of orders and revenue for 2020 were double over 2019. I know a big part of that is from April & May after the pandemic hit. The rest is hard work! I reached 2000 sales in 2020 and now I only need 15 orders to reach 2500. I started 2020 with just over 1600 orders (over 7 years!). No wonder I needed a vacation at the end of the year!

·5 years agoI opened my Etsy shop, https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/sekthebrand, in April and I am so happy I did! I sell fairtrade artisan rings helping to clean up the planet. Initially when I started I didn't expect much but I gradually went from 1 sale to finishing the year with 41. I am more motivated and excited to grow my store this year

·5 years agoWe really focused on our shop this year, after it being more of a hobby 'I'll list occasionally' type shop. So 2020 we listed more than we have in the past, doubled our sales, and almost got to our goal of 100 sales (98! close enough to celebrate ).
Looking forward to what we can achieve this year.

·5 years agoI made it to 40 sales before the year's end, and I put up over 100 listings this year. I just opened in the last week of November, and I only hope the rest of the year continues as such!

Now I have more clarity & direction around my listening products. Ready for calm, comfort or confidence in 2021.

·5 years agoI opened my Etsy shop, originalKAW | art apparel, this year and I am so incredibly glad I did! My shop is fairly new, so there is much more work to be done, but I am so happy with the progress that I've made so far. I can't wait to continue working on my shop this year and am excited for what's to come in 2021! I have a bunch of ideas and plans in mind for my shop, and I can't wait to start putting them into action. The first collection I plan on adding to my shop this year is going to be a collection of oversized sweatshirts with my art & designs printed on them. I can't wait to get started working on this collection, and I'm excited to see how it turns out!

·5 years agoI only opened my shop this year, and considering my shop is still tiny because of the time it takes to make the things I sell, I'm amazed and delighted to have had ten sales, especially as I have no social media except Pinterest and that only since last week! I'm very grateful to anyone who even views my shop, let alone buys something. I hope my sales increase with the new year, as I've got more things to list coming up. Happy New Year everyone!

·5 years agoMade it to a good number, but the best way to end this difficult year just happened a moment ago! I had the privilege of helping a first time Etsy buyer with a sale about 10 days ago, and it was a very rewarding feeling to know I could help her want to come back to Etsy in the future. She just left the kindest review, so it ended this year on a definite high note! Happy New Year 2021 to all!

·5 years agoWe had our best year yet- YOY, we increased over 400%. Looking back through our hundreds of 5-star reviews this past year literally has me in tears. I am so grateful for such kind words from our amazing customers!! My goal from exactly one year ago was to reach 1500 sales in 2020. We have officially reached 1,725. Truly feeling so grateful.
Our goal for next year is, simply, to improve. We are so ready and excited for 2021! Best of luck to everyone!
