Celebrate your shop milestones: December 2022
Hi everyone,
Here we are at the end of 2022! The end of the year is an opportune time for reflection, so we wanted to carve out a space for you to share your proudest moment(s) as a seller in this month’s milestone thread.
Were you finally able to take what was once just a hobby to the next level? It’s a big step to take, but it can be so gratifying to be able to do what you love full-time. Or maybe you’ve made some discoveries about how best to market your product and you were able to find a marketing strategy that works best for you. We know that listing your products is just one step in the process; from there, you have to get it in front of potential buyers!

·3 years agoMy milestone is that I'm finally back to work on my Etsy shop. Both my husband and I had one health problem after the other during 2022, which honestly put Etsy at the bottom of my list of things that needed done. But, knock on wood, we're both on the mend and just this past week we retrieved a whole truck load of treasures from our storage unit. I'm working now to clean my office, which became an easy place to stuff things this past year. When I get that done, I'm going to bring all those goodies in for their closeups, Mr Demille, and then we'll see if I can get my shop back. I was selling an average of 50 things a week before our health turned. If I can get half those sales back I'll be happy. And you can bet I'll never take my good health for granted ever again. Wow, what a year!

·3 years agoTo close out 2022 my shop broke the Top 10,000 on Worldwide sales (Currently #6996), my lifetime Conversion Rate is right at 5% (almost 3 years on Etsy), and just this month I've started to make more revenue from Etsy then I do my regular 9 - 5 job! I'm hoping this year I can pull the plug and go full time Seller. A lot of cool milestones! NOW, back to illustrating!

·3 years agoThis year I made my first Etsy shop and I am hooked! My day job is a social worker, so Etsy lets me express a lot of my creativity on the platform and I'm having so much fun doing so! For being only a few months open, I was surprised that I've already received six sales. Looking forward to the year ahead and seeing how I do on this platform!!!

Share your accomplishment on social media. Post about your milestone on your shop's social media accounts and encourage your followers to share the news.

·3 years agoWe have been purposely been slowing down on listing vintage items in our Etsy shop and have, instead, focused on our brick and mortar space. However, it is good to see we hit 9,000 total sales this month.

·3 years agoI opened my shop in July 2021 and took that year to learn. Then about August 2022 stepped up my game by posting listings more consistently and by the end of 2022 now have 150 sales. I know that's not a lot now, but I feel like it's only going to get better from here. One day soon I'll be celebrating 1000's of sales and beyond!!

·3 years agoI came to the USA from Ukraine. I received my work permit in early December. My goal was to have time to open the store before Christmas. I worked long and hard all day creating jewelry and putting it up for sale. I did not even expect that someone would like my products and that I would make 2 sales so quickly. I am very grateful to the people who bought bracelets from me. For me, it's still exciting to use the services of the post office. Everything is arranged differently here and I'm afraid to make a mistake. So far, I only deliver jewelry within the United States and I do not know which countries to choose for delivery. For 2023, my goal is to earn money to buy tools for work, and then I will be absolutely happy. I wish you all creative success, inspiration, and good sales!

·3 years agoI opened my shop this December, my shop name is gauchoillustration. I don't have any sales yet but I'm grateful my shop is visible and I have some few visits and visitors. I'm working very hard (working full-time) to make sure I create more digital printables that are in demand and much advertisement as well that in the coming months of 2023 I hope I will make my first sale and many more.

·3 years agoI have reached 5 sales, in different worlds, 4 of my own, 3 to donate. Was successful at selling a piece that I knew would do well and that is my sociable knitted cowls, merchandised in what is called in sewing terms a "burger". I have now reached 132 online sales in 11.25 years.

·3 years agoA friend bought my shop's first piece this year. I opened my Etsy shop last year but didn't read Seller's Handbook, but I read that this year. I changed my search terms and saw traffic. 4 people liked my shop. Went from 6 to 15 listings. Added 4 videos.

·3 years agoMy year end target was to get to 200 sales, and I actually hit that goal in early December. That’s when things got really crazy, and I finally had to hit the panic button and extend my processing time into January. But I managed to get every order out on time, and received my 100th five star review, so I’m really proud of my shop‘s performance in 2022.

·3 years agoOur biggest milestone is that when we made our first sale and got very good review afterwards. We are very proud and glad for each sale. We know that we are still learning and have to do a very long way. Preparations for our new products continue at full speed. We are very excited and hopeful.

I had no clue when the sale originally came in, and now I don't know where to go to check if the customer received the automated thank you email with a coupon.
