I’m happy to share that August brought us 28 orders! 🛍️🎉
Every single order means so much, especially as a small shop that is still growing. Behind every order are hours of creating new products, improving listings, learning SEO, and trying to understand what customers are looking for.
This month I also continued expanding my printable catalog and working on improving my shop little by little.
It might not be a massive number compared to bigger Etsy shops, but 28 orders in one month is a milestone for me, and I’m genuinely grateful for every customer who supported my shop. 🙏❤️

I’ve been slowly adding handmade cloths, napkin rings, keyrings and stitch markers, and this month I’ve taken some time to tidy up my shop sections, featured listings and About page.
I’m still very much at the beginning, but it feels much more like my little shop now — and that feels like a win in itself.
Small steps, but I’m enjoying seeing it grow.

My Etsy shop, SarvashvaTrends, has been open for around 3 years, but I recently started working on it more seriously again and putting more time into my listings and products.
This August, I was happy to receive 2 Etsy orders! 🎉 For me, every order is a big milestone and motivation to keep going.
This month I also focused on:

💃 Working on my Navratri & festive collection

I had just launched my first couple of digital wedding and engagement art products and the request came in soon after the listings went live. The print was for her daughter's engagement party. I absolutely loved creating this for my customer and she was delighted with the prints/signage. This made me v happy!

·5 hours agoAugust was exciting - I got the shop up and running and more built out. I have been trying to get to 100 listings but have had more sales than anticipated! Things have been slow the last two weeks so has given me time to fill the shop - aiming to hit 100 today but won't be mad at all if some additional sales keep that from happening. ;) Would love to hit 50 sales by the end of the year - currently at 16.

·6 hours agoReaching these figures wasn't easy; we made mistakes at times and paid the price by receiving low-star ratings. However, what really concerns me is the suspicion that my store's visibility in search results is completely cut off during certain hours of the day.

I received 10 orders in August, which is the best monthly result I’ve achieved in my entire Etsy seller journey so far. 🥹✨
The funny part? I didn’t receive a single review from those orders. And now, in September, I’m getting views and visits, but not even one order yet.
But I’m not worried. I’m choosing to stay patient, keep learning, and keep improving. 💪
I’m focusing on optimizing my listings, improving my existing products, and adding new ones.
My shop’s best-selling products are certificates for salons, along with invitation cards and invitation websites for occasions like birthdays and baby showers. 🎂💐
I truly believe that hard work and smart work never go to waste. Sometimes the results come quickly, and sometimes they take time. Whether you feel you’re on the right path or the wrong path, your results will always reflect the effort, learning, consistency, and work you put in.

·11 hours agoI looked at your shop and I think your prints are very nice. Your shop is well done in my novice opinion.
I have no use for prints but you may want to add a section for greeting cards that feature your prints. I get all of my cards on Etsy. Even if you don't do this I'm sure you will have a successful venture. I just opened my shop, MadebySiblings on August 19th.
I will post my 17th listing today. I've had two sales but one was my sister (another sibling not my partner) and one was a friend. So, I can't really count it. But, it was so nice to receive their support. I'm really enjoying Etsy and the challenge. Remember, it's the journey not the destination that teaches us to enjoy whatever it is we do. However -- my business like many others is finding vintage items at yard sales and thrift stores, and re-selling. Which means, as a friend reminded me, that people are paying for my eye, my curation, my understanding of what a "diamond in the rough" is, and explaining and showcasing that value. Not long after I started I listed a Scandinavian art glass vase. Dirty and unrecognizable at a thrift store, I knew it was quality hand-blown glass, and more. But I doubted myself -- was it really worth the price I listed it for? Sale today confirms my judgment and belief in myself.

I hear you about sticking with something you know the value of and it only takes one buyer. Getting it in front of lots of potential buyers is the trick and that seems to he a moving target. My handmade cards have consistently sold over the years with lots of big reserve orders. I’ve recently started making journals and they’ve got a fair bit of attention on social media but not many buyers. I love making them and I’m running out of shelf room so I’ll keep listing them. 😊

For our first year on Etsy we made what most small gold shops make. Classic wedding bands. 2 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm. Polished, comfort fit, yellow, white, rose. Honest work, and it pays the bench. But none of those rings were ours. The search bar drew them.
The waiting is the part nobody posts about. Views without favorites. Favorites without a message.
Then, in August, an order. One ring. One person we will never meet chose the thing we imagined over the thing they could have found anywhere.
It is one sale. It changed how we work. The second design of our own is already at the bench: the Fourth Leaf Ring. A 2.6 mm comfort-fit band with a single cropped leaf entering from the edge and one satin vein across it. Not a four-leaf clover. A quiet sign of luck for someone who does not need to announce it.
Made to order, like everything we do, so it takes its time.

·yesterday at 5:40 PMMy August milestone was reaching 700+ listings in The Honest Dragon and really starting to feel like my little card shop is becoming a proper business.
I’ve been building up my Christmas range, working harder on Pinterest, and I’ve also started preparing to take my cards into wholesale through Faire. There’s still a long way to go, but seeing repeat customers and lovely reviews has probably been the best part of the month.

This month, I began shaping VERENOIRE: a decorative interiors collection inspired by dark botanicals, Art Nouveau ornament, antique European textiles, and rooms that feel more atmospheric after dark.
The biggest change was deciding not to chase every trend. Instead, I’m building a smaller, more distinctive visual world where every piece feels as though it belongs to the same collection.
There is still a great deal to refine, but for the first time, the shop feels like it has a clear identity rather than simply a selection of products.

Instead of focusing on uploading as much as possible, I spent most of the month refining the visual language of StudioCucus testing ideas, removing things that didn’t belong, and trying to make the whole shop feel like one coherent world rather than a collection of unrelated digital prints.
That shift has probably been my biggest milestone so far.
I’m still at the very beginning, but I’ve started noticing which pieces people click on, save, and respond to, and that has already changed the way I think about what to create next.
For September, I’m planning to build out a few stronger series rather than just individual artworks and see whether that makes a difference going into the holiday season.

July and August were my two best months so far 🎉 .
I've just passed 50 orders in total at VintageSociety, with a 4.8 ⭐ rating. My parcels have gone to the US, Canada, Australia and all over Europe. Something I never would have imagined in my wildest dreams 🌍.
The nicest part is when customers send me photos afterwards. One wore a vintage cufflinks and tie clip set from my shop on their wedding day 💍 — a piece that had been sitting in a drawer somewhere for forty years, back out in the world on someone's happiest day. That encourages me to continue this journey and keep sourcing unique vintage treasures.
Still working hard every day on making the shop better — photos, listings, all of it. There's a long way to go and much to learn, but I'm really enjoying it ✨.

August was a month of learning, experimenting, and improving our Etsy shop in ways that aren’t always visible at first glance.
Instead of simply adding more products, we decided to focus on making our existing listings better.
We’ve been working on:
✨ Improving our listing titles to make them clearer, more relevant, and SEO-friendly
🔎 Refining keywords and tags so our products have a better chance of being discovered
📸 Elevating our product presentation and listing images
📝 Reworking descriptions to make them more useful and customer-focused
🎨 Building a more consistent shop identity and visual style
🐾 Putting more thought into how we present the products—not just what they are, but why a pet lover would want them
Some of these changes may seem small individually, but together they completely changed how we look at our shop.
We’re still learning, still testing, and definitely still figuring things out. 😅 But we’re proud that August wasn’t just about chasing sales—it was about building a better shop, one listing at a time.
And seeing the results of that effort, even in small milestones, makes it all worthwhile. ❤️

I got my first ever sale, which I honestly refreshed the page three times to believe. Then my first two 5 star reviews came in, and reading "the quality is exactly what I hoped for" from a stranger meant more than I expected.
I also shipped my first international orders, to the UK and Germany, which came with a whole new learning curve around customs and VAT.
Behind the scenes I spent most of the month building out listings and rewriting my titles and tags properly instead of guessing. Not glamorous, but it is starting to show.
Still very early days, but going from zero to a handful of happy customers in one month feels like a real milestone to me.

·yesterday at 9:19 AMAugust was my best month so far. 19 reviews last month with a 4.8 average, 3 repeat buyers, and orders going out to 98 cities in 4 countries. The repeat buyers got me the most. I did not expect anyone to come back this early.
Two things changed and I think that was all of it. I rewrote my
titles and tags around the words my shop was actually being found
for, instead of the ones I assumed it was. And I reshot every
listing so it has a clear main photo, one worn on the ear, and one
next to a coin so people can see the real size. Search traffic
started moving about two weeks later.
