In August, I reached the 400-sale mark—which isn't exactly a huge milestone, as this year has been quite slow due to a combination of factors, including US tariffs and the fact that Etsy has become flooded with AI-generated product images in my category. I sell high-quality, handmade needle-felted dolls and believe I have genuine, high-quality photos of the actual items. Unfortunately, many sellers of low-quality goods use beautiful, unrealistic AI-generated images; customers receive something completely different and often end up disappointed with the entire category.

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping some experienced Etsy sellers can help me understand what is happening with my shop.

About one week ago, I was getting around 350 views per day. But now my daily views have dropped a lot. Some days I get around 200 views, sometimes under 150, and sometimes around 250, but overall my traffic is much lower than it was before.

I’m trying to understand why my views have suddenly decreased.

I also want to learn how I should use Etsy Ads properly to increase my views and visibility.

Should I increase my Ads budget to get more impressions and views, or is there a better strategy? Should I focus more on SEO, titles, tags, new listings, or something else?

I sell handmade wooden memorial/cremation urns and personalized wooden products.

If anyone has experienced a similar drop in views, I would really appreciate your advice on:

1. Why this might be happening
2. What I should do to increase my views
3. How I should use Etsy Ads to get more visibility without wasting money

Once a listing is getting seen, the problem often shifts from SEO to conversion: whether the first image explains the product immediately, whether the offer is clear, whether the price feels justified, whether delivery/use is obvious, and whether anything creates hesitation before checkout.

Hi everyone! A few months back I returned to Etsy after a time away. In my time away I cared for my momma till she passed away. Since retiring and moving closer to our children and grandchildren, I thought it would be good to get back to Etsy. I am a work in progress, and so is my shop. And I suppose that life lesson is what I want to share this evening. I appreciate all the support as I enter back into a different Etsy than when I left it. And it is better! Hang in there all you first timers, because your shop is a work in progress. Enjoy the journey, because I think that is what it is all about.

My biggest milestone has been seeing my first organic sales after months of building my shop. Recently, I even had a customer purchase more than one of my digital wellness guides at once, which felt like such a small but meaningful sign that I’m moving in the right direction. 🤍 Still building, learning, and taking it one step at a time.

I opened my shop for the first time doing something like this. I was a little hesitant at the beginning but after making my 1st sale, it was not only one, but 12 items were purchased by 2 different people. My eyes spread wide and I said ok you can do this. August 22nd everything changed and I know with everything good there's a process.

I'm looking forward to greater things this month. September is a very special month for me. Not only did I make 2 sales today, this is my birthday month and I'm looking forward to greater things happening for me and LadyJ Energy Studio. This is the name of my store. Positive vibes only.

After 7 months after I "opened" my shop, I was hesitant to hard launch any inventory, due to fear of failure. Some of my inventory includes custom made bedazzled medicine containers and bedazzled travel pocket pharmacies.

I am a chronic illness girlie who has been really tired of doing mundane tasks such as taking medicine, so I decided to make them fun and funny! It honestly brings a smile to my face every time I use them, but an even bigger smile when my friends and family all requested them.

August 18th I hard launched some inventory, and I have made 6 sales in four different states! I know that isn't a lot, but it means so much to me to support the mental health/chronic illness community and also de-stigmatize having to take medication due to mental health in general.

I look forward to making more sales, creating more art, and making some friends along the way. Congratulations to everyone's success, even if it's just having the courage to open up shop!

August was a huge month for Impossible Destinations — especially since I only opened the shop in June! I hit 100 sales in August and have already passed 150 sales, which feels pretty wild for a shop that’s only a few months old.

I also spent August getting ready for my favorite time of year. Now that summer is officially winding down, I’m rolling out Halloween prints, spooky houses, cozy fall favorites, witchy locations, and plenty of nostalgic destinations. 🍂🎃

It’s been so fun watching a little creative experiment turn into a real shop — and I’m very excited to see what our first fall season brings!

I’ve been working on my listings, SEO, titles, tags, keywords, descriptions, and product presentation, but I’d really appreciate some honest feedback from experienced Etsy sellers.

I still don't quite believe I'm writing this, but one year ago, I started my Etsy shop as a little passion project. Now, I'm celebrating 4,300 transactions and over 7,800 postcards traveling to mailboxes all over the world. Somewhere along the line, my one-woman project turned into a two-person operation. My husband has been drafted as my official unofficial assistant because thousands of postcards are a lot for one pair of hands. I'm just so grateful for every order, kind message, and repeat customer who keeps this little dream going. Thank you for being part of my story

My August milestone was a little different — I came back to Etsy after almost 2 years away! ❤️
