I appreciate this insight, you’re right- Etsy is very intuitive and I’ve definitely noticed that as you tweak and improve seo and update info as you see fit, it grows with you and learns what your products and shop are about, matching you with your perfect target audience that loves shops like yours.

I’m looking forward to learning from others just as you have as well! Love your shop by the way- your “about” story is a wonderful origin from which to start a journey inspired by nature. I especially loved the words you used like “nature breaks” and “calm daily life,” and how you viscerally described the experience that influenced the start of your shop, as well as how you emphasized how easy it is to care for the product. Hi! I just read your comment here nad it is so useful. I sell Digital Canva birthday invitations.

I'm now actively working on new listings, but I have 0 views during all week. I don't understand what the problem is. I'm thinking up SEO for new listings and changing SEO for old ones, but it's impossible to have 0 requests for a whole week.

Could you take a look at my shop and maybe offer some advice based on your experience?❤️🙏

Hi! I will say that it takes (at least for me) 3-6 weeks for your changes to catch up in the algorithm and reflect back any improved reach. Every time you change the description, title, tags, etc., it takes a couple weeks to re-try its new seo/related keywords into the Etsy system and finds its way to people whose searches match your new updated info. Just gotta give it time, and in the meantime it gives you space to keep creating and/or thinking of ways to improve future listings, creating videos, researching more for your ideas, and so on. Etsy tends to respond well to shops that have quality listings over shops that have a lot of quantity but their descriptions/titles/attributes/tags/etc are incomplete or non-specific. These are just things I’ve personally learned, take what resonates best with you:)

Thank you!🍓🌸 Also I’ve heard that if a listing doesn’t get views for a long time, it’s better to delete it and upload it as a new listing again , rather than just changing the SEO in old listing . Does this lifehack actually work?

When you delete and re-upload, it gives that listing a complete fresh launch into the etsy system so it benefits from free ads and getting displayed to customers higher in the search because it’s just starting out so the system is trying to figure out where to place it. When you renew or edit a listing, it gives it a small boost, but not as impactful as when it’s a new listing. That’s why some people find it helpful to re-upload, but it depends what your goal is and how your overall shop is doing. Some situations benefit from the former or the latter approach, it really depends on your specific shop insights and if renewing would help keep your favorited listings intact with customers who saved them, or if you think starting over would help it stand out better. I do both!

Hello, I have been on Etsy for 18 years (the last 11 years selling vintage clothing). I wanted to make a few suggestions: 1) Vintage items need more Color choices besides what is offered 2) Tags often do not give enough room to accomodate the "Brand" or "Maker" of vintage items; What about a separate tab that allows the seller to enter the Brand name 3) Why not have a time limit on how long someone can have something in their cart, for example on other Platforms there is a 20 minute period in which to add to cart and then purchase something. This would promote so much more business for sellers. Thank you for your time.

Hi everyone,

I’m from Ukraine. I opened my shop about 5 years ago, but at that time I didn’t really understand how everything worked. In 2022, I lost access to my shop, and only this January I was finally able to reopen it.

Unfortunately, during this time I haven’t had any sales, partly because I couldn’t manage or renew my listings. Now I’m starting again and trying to improve my shop step by step.

I would like to know what is the point of accumulating these badges? I don't think they have any impact on increasing our sales. Do they help with the visibility of our items to potential buyers? Do they help our SEO? I don't think so.

I'm happy to engage with other on the forums, but I don't see the need for badges.

I don't need a stupid badge! I wish Etsy would take the time to fix crucial bugs! I Lost 2 sales last week due to the shipping confirmation bug , this week a the variation bug is hurting my shop because customers can't see what they are buying because most linked photos are not showing up! PLEASE FIX ASAP!!!!! After 16 years on Etsy I have almost had it.
