@AnimaAgaArt I believe as long as you're not logged in it's not a problem, so you don't have to watch out to accidentally buy something. However, what the incognito mode does, it makes you a (new) guest, which Etsy still allows shoppes to be. Also once you close the incognito window there's no way to go back to that specific cart, although Etsy will still keep that in the server's memory for some time. This is what makes items show being in X number of carts.

@AmySueCrafts not sure if it's a coincidence but I actually got as many sales today when we switched as I did yesterday when the add to cart was regular views. Overall my sales have increased significantly this month already. I vote to give the incognito version some time to see for sure.

Did anyone notice that there was a jump in their sales on the first day (when we were adding the items to our *regular* carts, but NOT in incognito mode)? I sold 10 items during that 24 hours. However, when we switched to incognito mode, it did nothing for sales (I had no sales at all). Do we need to try going back to the original method of hearting the listings and adding them to our regular carts (NOT incognito)? Just a thought...
