Support simpler packaging rules in the EU
If you sell to buyers across the European Union, you may have experienced the complexity of navigating packaging and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements. For a one-person shop, they can be a barrier to selling cross-border.
EU policymakers are considering reforms that could help simplify these requirements. Upcoming reforms, including the Circular Economy Act and the Environmental Omnibus, create an opportunity to advocate for simpler, more proportionate rules for small sellers. But policymakers need to hear from the businesses most affected.
Etsy has been bringing seller experiences directly to EU policymakers and advocating change. Now, we're asking sellers to add their voices too.
Sign the petition:
The petition calls on EU policymakers to harmonise EPR requirements across Member States and introduce a simplified pathway for low-volume sellers. Etsy will deliver signatures directly to key EU policymakers.
