Heads up: EEA sellers will need to review and confirm their info soon
Starting March 24, and rolling out through early 2027, certain sellers based in the European Economic Area (EEA) will be asked to review and confirm their shop information in Shop Manager and accept Etsy Payments Ireland Limited (EPIL) Terms and Conditions.
EPIL is Etsy’s regulated payments entity that provides certain payment services to EEA sellers. To continue receiving payments on Etsy, EEA sellers will need to accept the EPIL terms when prompted.
Reviewing and confirming this information helps us meet regulatory requirements, keep the Etsy marketplace safe, and maintain a trusted experience for buyers—so they can continue shopping on Etsy with confidence.
What you can do now
If you’re an EEA seller, you don’t need to take action just yet. You can, however, get a head start by reviewing the current information on your Legal and Tax Information page in Shop Manager.
Ensuring that your legal name, address, and taxpayer ID are up to date can help avoid potential delays once it’s time to confirm your information.
If your business is partially owned by one or more additional individuals, you’ll need to review their information as well.
What’s next?
When it’s time for you to review and confirm your information, you’ll receive an email from mail@etsy.com with clear instructions guiding you through the process. You’ll also see a banner on your Shop Manager dashboard.
You’ll always review and update your information securely within Shop Manager—we’ll never ask you to share your password or sensitive personal information via email.
