Dorset Team

The Dorset Team is a friendly, active community for makers and creatives based in Dorset, England (and the surrounding areas).

Our group began over 10 years ago as a place for local Etsy sellers to connect, share advice and support one another and has grown and grown since.

As many makers are running their small businesses from home, we believe that being part of a community which cheers you on, celebrates your successes and is a place to come if you need support, advice or just to meet others doing similar things is invaluable. We would love to welcome you to our community.

Here you will find a place to:

• Get to know other local makers and small business owners

• Get advice and support for running your Etsy shop or small business

• Learn about our Dorset Team events and have opportunity to join us at them

• Find a supportive space to connect with others who truly understand the joys (and also the difficulties!) of running a creative business.

Whether this is your full time Job or you are just starting out, we would love for you to be part of the Dorset Team.

Our Craft Fairs

Alongside our online community, we host a series of well established craft fairs across Dorset, celebrating the very best of handmade and locally designed products. Our events bring together makers from across Dorset.

We currently run four main events annually:

About our Team Captain

Etsy's word for someone who runs the community is a "captain". The team captain for the Dorset Team is Rachel from The Dorothy Days and I set up and have been running this community for over 10 years. I am a knitwear designer and maker and I have a real passion for celebrating makers and creatives and getting people to shop small. I love the Dorset Team community and am really excited to have this new space on Etsy for our community to grow further.
